The tv remote that came with the tv unit. The tv remote might have channels buttons up/down buttons functions and numbers pads might be shorted and dead and no longer functions anymore.U have a Digital Camera turn it on take the tv rmote put in the front of the Digital Camera pushes each buttons one by one all the buttons that work u will able to see a flashing white light on the camera vewing screen, because the Digital Camera can read INFERED input signal to see a output u see on the the camera viewing screen. After u test it on the front of a Digital Camera any buttons don't have a white light flashes INFERED read out than those buttons functions are shorted and dead.Try website like Remotes.com to buy the tv original remote to replace and used.
If your LCD doesn't light up then it's either the backlight or the LCD, you can open up the camera and check the cables before buying any parts. Some LCD screens come with the backlight, some don't; not sure if this one does or not.
IF it was water damage, you probably have corrosion on the main PCB and won't be able to fix it without replacing the board... open it up and check for corrosion!
Hope this helps.

Have you got the user manual? If not, you can download it from www.iusermanual.com. I am not familiar with you videocam but the mannual shows all of the buttons and functions etc. There are what appears to be at least one critical button on the outer edge of the LCD screen itself. Perhaps this may affect its functions and be causing your problem. Anyway, have a good look at the manual and be sure you understand the functions of the buttons. Because everything else works OK it is most likely caused by pressing the wrong button at the wrong time. Alternatively, there may be a bad contact at the connection between LCD screen and camera.
Please try initializing the Camera to resolve the issue.
First, please press the HOME button on the Camera to display the home screen on the LCD screen of the Camera. Then, select the "Settings" option and then select the "Main Settings" option on the Camera. Now, select the "Main Settings 1" and select the "Initialize" option and press the middle of the control button to initialize the Camera. Then, select "OK" and press the middle of the control button to initialize the Camera. If the issue still persists, it is required to service the Camera.
hi try to reset ur camera...To do such reset, turn on the camera and hold the menu button down for longer than 5 seconds. A message should hopefully come up on your LCD asking if you want to reset the camera. Select Yes... thank u!!! rate me!!

hi...ensure that the camera is turned on. If applicable, ensure the lens cover has been removed before taking pictures. the LCD backlight is turned on by pressing the DISPLAY button several times until the screen appears. Depending on the camera model, the DISPLAY button may be labeled as DISP or with a display icon. This button could be a standalone button or it depends upon the camera model..... If operating the camera with a battery, ensure the battery is fully charged. Ensure the battery is inserted properly in the camera. If operating the camera with the power adapter, ensure it is plugged into a working AC outlet. Ensure no Audio/Video (A/V) cables are connected for viewing pictures on a TV; the LCD screen will not display when an A/V cable is connected. Perform a reset procedure on the camera....
Try playing with the lense I had the same problem. I would turn it on and the screen was frozen, the three beeps then it turned off. I played with the lense since it was sticking out and I tried turning it on again and it worked. :]
Simple! Read warnings carefully! It said "remove lens cap and press SET button"! So remove the lens cap and then press the SET button (or arrow downward in the four directions button)! You don´t need to RESET anything...
