SOURCE: Reg. zebra S600 lable

I had this happen when I changed from one label to a different size label. It needs to be calibrated. There are several types of calibration to do to the S600. Here is the solution that worked for me.

  1. Check the position of the laser Media Sensor (figure 13). It may need to be moved to match the type of label that will be printed.
For CARD labels, the media sensor needs to be set at the edge of the card so it can “see through” the notch that is cut on the edge where the perforation is.

    1. For STICKY labels, it can “see through” the backing which shows between each sticky label, so the Media Sensor could be set anywhere for it to work, but will probably be set towards the middle.
Set to Factory Defaults. This is so that all of the following steps will work. I do not need to change the steps based on the type of mode that printer is set up in because it will erase all that by setting it to the factory default. (See figure 14 for buttons)

    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Hold the FEED and PAUSE buttons down as the printer power is turned on.
    3. Press MODE button four times.
    4. When the defaults are saved to the printer, the CALIBRATE, DARKER, and POSITION lights will all flash.
Test to see if the calibration is set correctly for the label. If not, proceed to the following steps.

  1. Do a Manual Calibration.
Turn off the printer.
    1. Hold the PAUSE, FEED, and CANCEL buttons down as the printer power is turned on, keeping the buttons depressed.
    2. This will run through several labels and do some printing.
    3. Release all three buttons after the CALIBRATION light comes on and then goes back off.
Put the printer into Auto-Calibration Mode.

    1. Turn off the printer.
    2. Hold PAUSE, CANCEL, and MODE down as the printer power is turned on.
    3. Release the buttons after printer is powered on.

How do I align my Citizen CLP 7202e Lable printer print head to align with the lables? Currently it starts printing low on the lable and thus the last 1-2 lines print over onto the next lable

Adjust vertical offset in printer properties. If that doesn't fix it, adjust it under "advanced". Or... you can set the offset in the printer itself. Hold down the left two buttons at the same time. Cycle through the settings until you get to vertical offset.

Printer will not print in Black ink cartridg are full. what gives

Both blacks are in your print driver test pattern?
Go into the maintence menu and choose nozzle check.
It should rint a test pattern with the first grid being labled "PGB" if not your head is clogged. You can tru a solution of 20-25% ammonia to water and soak the black print head for a half an hour. Then completely dry the electrical contacts and re-install.
If that does not do it I have a more aggressive solution that requires a baster.

Printer does not print

hold down the feed button until both light flash off and let go. This will reset the printer. This should stop it from feeding multiple labels.

Printing Labels

The MPF is simply the "Manual Paper Feed".
Your printer is set by default that the MPF paper type is "plain paper". Since you are telling the printer that you are trying to print lables, the printer is simply telling you that you need to load the MPF with lables.

If you say "ok", the printer sould continue and print the lables.

If you only print lables, the you can change the default paper for the MPF tray to "lables", and then you will no longer be prompted to load the tray.

Set up

May be your problems can be solved doing a calibration. To do this, turn off the printer, press the feed key and turn on the printer. When the led flashes in red quickly release the feed key, the printer will start to calibrate and after the calibration will feed one label.

It is explained in the user manual.
