What is a play-top bird cage?

A play-top bird cage is ideal for active birds. They are designed with a play area that sits on top of the cage's surface. Some models are designed with a detachable play top that allows you to remove it and take to any room of your house. Here is an example of a play-top bird cage -

Ac squirrel cage fan motor noise

Could be bearings going out, or a squirrel cage rubbing the blower housing, a squirrel cage blade that came loose, or a capacitor.

On my Bryant outside condensing unit 561CJ030-A the fan sucks air down thru the top and out thru the sides. Isn't this the wrong direction for airflow?? I bought the house from original owner and have...

You are right the airflow is normally drawn in through the sides and blown out the top. The two things I would look for is if the motor was replaced and they did not wire it for the right direction or the fan was put in upside done. On most motors that are reversible there are are two wires that need switched to change direction. If you are lucky there will be a rating plate on the motor that will show you what wires you need to switch. Otherwise you will have to get a wiring diagram from the manufacture. If the fan is turned around then just loosen set screw remove fan and turn it over. Thank you.

Hello. I have a Bryant 561CJ030-D AC unit. The fan comes on but doesn't seem to be cooling. We have had record high temps the past couple of weeks (over 100 degrees), and I'm wondering if the...

Is the compressor turning on? The fan may be running, but you will not get cooling effect unless the compressor is circulating refrigerant. It appears your unit is a 2.5 ton unit. What is the square footage of the space being cooled? Is the space insulated?

What is the part number for the outdoor fan motor?

as old as this unit is you probably cannot read the label on the motor it is either a 1/4 or 1/3 horse power 230 volt motor. a generic motor will work fine, use a 1/3 to be sure. also replace the capacitor so it matches the new motor. if you can read the label the part number is on it, should be an HK # with about 7 more digits
