Icing is usually caused by poor airflow through the evap. coil or low on refrigerant.

A leak in the roof perhaps? Dependent on country, but you might have a water tank up there as in the UK?

Could freeze plugs cause my Lincoln navigator 5.4l engaging leak water from back of engine and oil from the side of engine

Yes, that is a possibility. I have a 4-liter V-6 in my 1993 Ford and it had two freeze plugs that had rusted and were leaking. It was easy enough to replace them because they were on the side of the block but I learned there are two freeze plugs hidden under the transmission bell housing. It they are leaking, antifreeze would be dripping off the back of the engine.

Freeze plugs should not cause oil leaks as they are a safety device for the water jacket.

Why does my Buick Rendevous, 2005, leak water into both front floorboards?

Is it leaking water or Anti Freeze?
If it's Anti Freeze you can pull down the rug or floor mat to check, you should also smell the Anti Freeze. This means your heater core is leaking & has to be replaced, if it's not leaking bad you can try a sealer called Aluma seal (my spelling could be wrong),looks about the size of a roll of dimes, most auto stores have it.
If it's water, my guess is the AC condensation hose is blocked. Does it leak only when the AC is on? this hose runs outside, usually on the
passenger side behind the front wheel, when the AC is on & condensation builds up, you will see water coming out on the ground, this is normal, but if that hose is pinched or blocked the water could end up running onto your floor. Hope this helps.

Interior leak

Could be connected - - the drain for the ac could be plugged up and the water is dripping into the passenger compartment. The system may be low on freon or have a restriction in the line which could cause it to freeze up. Could be an air flow problem with the cooling fan too.

My 1997 subaru impreza squeals badly and then engine smokes

Hi this sounds weird does the smoke come out from the front engine covers? the squealing could be the cambelt trying to turn a semi or completly ceased waterpump which would cause the smoke after a while, also without the waterpump working properly the engine will leak water and anti freeze out the overflow and overheat really quickly

Katrina, you are getting runaround from your "mechanic". You definately need to shop around to reputable mechanic shops.
The clear fluid is condensed (pure) water. To clean out the condensation drain for your AC, use a pipe cleaner available from any tobacco shop, cheap. You need to look at the firewall infront of the passengers feet area for a crinkely short rubber tube, and clean it out with th pipe cleaner. May have to do this from underneath the car. Once you do this the inside will dry out quickly (in your heat with ac to help).
Running the engine without a thermostat will do more damage. The problem is localized overheating in the engine. The coolant moving too fast will cause hot and cold spots in close proximity, which can cause warping and subsequent head gasket leaks. As per DTTECH above. So have brother inlaw install the thermostat, BUT FIRST, perform a radiator flush. Actually flush the whole system. With a hose run water through in both directions through engine and radiator. Possible debris in system from first 2 times opening the thermostat area.
When filling up system, with ready to use antifreeze, look for bubbles in the radiator. Yes there will be bubbles for a while, till the system is really full, but when you cannot get anymore fluid in system, you should not see bubbles. GENTLY rev engine and watch for bubbles that seem to pop with smoke in them. That will indicate a leaking head gasket. Good luck

I hooked a used unit up turned it on and got 3 beep any answers

this indicates that the backup freeze timer terminated the freeze cycle. Stayed in freeze cycle 60 minutes. Causes can be: stuck float switch, water valve leaking incoming water, and the more extreme can be hot gas valve leaking, txv not feed properly, low refrigerant charge, or bad compressor. Usually one of the first 2 items are the root cause.
