You didn't specify the make or model of your food processor, but you should be able to find a replacement bowl. Abtecparts.com or PartStore.com are two places that you might look. However, you might find that a new bowl costs almost as much as a new food processor. Good luck!
Did you find a lid? I have a used one and would gladly send it to you for the cost of shipping from NH.
I warped the bowl for mine in the dishwasher and have since replaced it with a new food processor so would be happy to give away the useful parts (lid, pusher, blade, discs & carrier).
Items required:
-dishwasher
-detergent
-lemonade or other citric liquid
-poochy
-skillz
Step 1:
gently position poochy around tube in center of bowl. Fill halfway with lemonade or other citric liquid.
Step 2: Put lid of processor on and put entire unit in dishwasher. Turn on power scrub cycle.
The dishwashing cycle will help the citric acid to activate the poochy.
Step 3: Use skillz to wriggle the bowl off the processor. Empty out poochy remains.
Congratulations! YOU'VE GOT SKILLZ!
Remove the work bowl from the base of the food processor, and separate the bowl, lid, and pusher sleeve. Plug the base into the wall outlet, turn the food processor ON, and then use a pen to press in the dark grey or black button on top of the base of the food processor - if you hear some kind of noise, then your motor is still good. Put the work bowl on first, with the handle facing the front of the food processor. Put the lid on, with the lid lined up with the handle of the work bowl.
Put the pusher sleeve in the lid, with the metal piece facing the front of the processor.
Your processor should now turn on.
If it doesn't call Cuisinart and see if you are still in-warranty (3-year warranty).

i am also having the same problem. it happened as soon as i got done putting in some parmesan and grated it. never happened before and i've got a few cups of parmesan cheese just sorta wasting away inside the processor. very tempted to break the damn thing open and just buy a new processor from a different company.
