I have an 20 year old Curtis Mathis console. To change the channel, there is a panel on the right where you push the button to change. The TV will not change channels, it stays on channel 2 when you push any of the button changers. There is a good picture. Can you help or is it time to say good bye to the set!
Sounds like it lost programing, if it has an "auto program" feature try that, or some older models need it to be done manualy and have a "add/erase" feature, instructions for that should be in your owner's manual.

I have one of this tv model too.Just used a RCA component cables like Y,R,W hook one side to the tv Video IN INPUT holes and the VCR the other end of the cable to VCR Video OUT INPUT holes. Now just pushes a channel manual button up or down a couples for the tv go into VIDEO Mode.Play the dvd player it will work.Or try Remotes.com to buy a tv original remote.Return the universal remote.
because this tv has no hyperband tuner (also called sometimes s-band or superband tuner 70-99).
but if you have an old vcr with a good tuner built in u can watch these channels over it (even a broken one which dont play anymore would do it still :))
No need for the tv manual.Just follow the basic hook up instructions in the booklet came in with the Converter box.Very easy use channel 3.Use the codes for Curtis-Mathis tv in the booklet for the remote.I hook this Exact model of tv is take 20 mins.
If you could change channels with a remote, you probably don't have, and never had, a dial which you rotated to change channels. There should be buttons on the front of the set, one or two of which will change the set from game mode to tv receive mode. Turn the set on and just try pushing one button at a time until you hit the right one. If you don't see any such buttons, there is a panel on the front that is covering them. Either open the panel by hand or push on the panel and it will spring open and reveal the buttons. Good Luck. almarc13
We also bought a universal remote to program a Curtis Mathis TV. We found the code by using the code search method. It works everything but the channel program feature. Does anyone know how to access that? BTW the remote is a GE 24921. Thanks
