BT gave me solution, which (so far) seems to work: Reset the software of the telephone to default settings... On any handset - 1. Press 'menu' 2. Scroll to 'settings' & press 'ok' 3. Scroll to 'base' & press 'ok' 4. Scroll to 'reset base' & press 'ok' 5. 'System PIN' will be displayed - enter '0000' (unless you have altered the default pin number) 6. Press 'ok' 7. Press 'yes' 8. Switch the main base station off at the power & remove the batteries from all handsets for approximately 30 minutes . This didn't reset my address book (thank goodness) but did reset some other settings, such as time/date, OGM, group ringtones etc.
3) While holding the * key, plug the power back in - You will see a * and two bars
4) Press #5*5 to reset and reboot it.
Default Password is - 12345678 Unfortunately, it's after this point that I get stuck as it tells me to press the Local IP button, then put that into a network-linked computer's internet as a URL (to go into the settings) and then the IP doesn't work!
Please try resetting the phone to default settings and it should work. The default code should be the last 4 digits of your phone number unless you have changed it.
