Question about Homelite Garden
I had my Homelite string trimmer; UT20737 was running this morning, but it would only run for a few seconds then stop. I realized that if I tipped it up, it ran. The fuel line was frayed off in the tank and didn't reach the bottom of the tank. I bought a new one and replaced it. Now it won't even fire once.
Spark plug sparks, fuel tank is 2/3 full, engine is not flooded, carburetor adjustment at beginning, changing it makes no difference, fuel mix as per instructions and clean, the air filter is also clean, fuel flows through lines unobstructed.
I would appreciate any ideas as to why it may not be firing.
You will need to disassemble the carburetor and spray with carb.cleaner. Make sure the small screen in the carb. is free of debris. Usea Den Tek Brush, (http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=165357&catid=1152), to clean the small portals in carb. Reassemble and start.
(NOTE: If the cleaning doesn't work, then buy a carb. kit and replace all appropriate parts.)
If you need further assistance, just let me know.
