Most ekgs need a strong battery even when operating on AC power. Replace the battery and that should fix the problem.

SOURCE: low battery
When your dealing with a low battery message you can do many things like the following:
1- Replace the battery.
2- Check the voltage of the battery with a multimeter.
3- Disconnect the unit from the AC source and check if the unit continue functioning without the AC source.
