My sql data can be transfered using the export options within mySQL.

# mysqldump -u username -ppassword database_name > FILE.sql

Could not connect to MySQL

Hi;

You can start/stop the mysql service on the server by logging into the server as root from the command line interface and run the following command/s.

service mysql stop
service mysql start
service mysql restart

You can also use the following if the above does not work fine.

How can I restore my SQL database from .frm files?

You just copy the .frm files to the to the databse folder but you also need to copy the ib_logfiles and ibdata file into your data folder. I have just copy the .frm files and copy those files and just restart the server and my database is restored.

'Table does not exist' error in MySQL, although it really exists

it usually means that no table exists in the default database with the given name. In some cases, it may be that the table does exist but that you are referring to it incorrectly. Maybe your database and table names are case sensitive if they are located on a file system that has case-sensitive file names. Or perhapsall references to a given table within a query must use the same lettercase.
Use SHOW TABLES to check which tables are in the default database.
Well, if you are sure that table is exist and you write its name exactly such it should be, then I suppose something wrong with the database, it can be seriously corrupt. And in this case you need a professional help. This tool must help at any rate - Recovery Toolbox for MySQL https://mysql.recoverytoolbox.com/

How to fix mySQL corrupt databases?

you should follow two steps:

Create an appropriately named database on the target machine
Load the file using the mysql command:
$ mysql -u [uname] -p[pass] [db_to_restore] < [backupfile.sql]
Have a look how you can restore your tut_backup.sql file to the Tutorials database.
$ mysql -u root -p Tutorials < tut_backup.sql
To restore compressed backup files you can do the following:
gunzip < [backupfile.sql.gz] ' mysql -u [uname] -p[pass] [dbname]
If you need to restore a database that already exists, you'll need to use mysqlimport
command. The syntax for mysqlimport is as follows:
mysqlimport -u [uname] -p[pass] [dbname] [backupfile.sql]

Or make use of Repair Toolbox for MySQL

How to solve the mysql error 2003 Can't Connect to mysql server on 'localhost' (10061)

Your client software attempts to connect to a MySQL database instance on your local computer. There is no DB server running locally, hence the error.

Before reinstalling Windows, did you connect to a remote DB server or did you use a local instance?
In former case, you need to configure the DB connection to point to the remote serve. In the latter case, on top of Windows you also need to reinstall the MySQL DB server software locally, and it needs to be started.

My Grandchildren and I have been playing on pog,com for almost 6 months now. Today, when I tried to get on this site I got this message lost connection to MYSQL, system error 61. I don't understand this...

Apparently the site pog.com had a problem with their MYSQL Database at that point, that's why you could not connect to the site

All what you saw was the webserver from pog.com telling you it had an internal error, in other words it could not connect to the database where the site content is hosted, for example ( User accounts, email addresses, site menu) and more.

this type of issue are very common when upgrading or configuring the MYSQL server or any other application that will stablish a connection to it.

How to set a folder with small program to run on linux+apache

Dear Rajiv

First make sure that your Apache server is running properly.
For this type http://localhost and see the result.

If you want to test PHP you can create a php test file by yourself.

Goto the www folder in apache director. create a file , name it anything.php. Edit the file and simply write "phpinfo()" without quotes . check the output.

It means that your apache server is fully capable of PHP scripting.
