First of all are you looking for speed, or quality?

For Speed I would suggest basic game settings like lowering the resolution, decreasing the color depth to 16bit if that option is available, turning down shadow quality or turning shadows off, turning down or off anisotropic and antialiasing, finally turning down water detail if that option is available. All of those options would usually have the biggest impact on the speed.

For quality basically getting the game playable without using the suggestions from above I would go to and download the nTune utility and while you are there I would suggest making sure you have the most recent drivers. Use the nTune utility to adjust the clock speed of your video card. I only suggest this if you know what you are doing as increasing the clock on the video card will void the warranty.

Beyond what I recommended above the only thing that I can say is that the video card that you have may not be fast enough for some games.

First, make sure all the cables are connected properly in the right ports, also the power supply. It could be the monitor itself that is not working. Try a different monitor on your CPU and see if it will work. Likewise, try your monitor on a different CPU.

Video problems

This couild be four things: The monitor, your dvi/vga cable, your graphics card or your motherboard. I suggest you try switching them out, one by one, with other ones, to find out which part is broken. If you have found it, I however don't think there is any way to fix it. I hope this helps, Yannick.
