Hampton Bay Garrison 52" fan stuck on high

3 mos old. Remote and receiver worked fine until this week. The fan is stuck on high. when you push medium or low on the remote, you hear a noise/pause like it is going to change speeds, but stays on high. I have reset the circuit breaker, unwired and rewired the wires in the box, to no avail.

Nothing wrong with the power supply, or the remote, the speed switch in the fan is faulty, as it is more finiky than a manual speed change(like with a cable)

I have a 52 inch Hampton bay fan with remote control that will not work. model AC55200 SN002469B remote #G9P2BTAUC7052T. have put new batt in remote. will work light sometimes .No fan operation

This could be a defective receiver but if you are mixing wall switch operation with pull chain operation it may be getting confused. My local "big box" retailer sells complete Hampton Bay replacements for both remote control and receiver so ultimately that may be what's needed.

Hampton Bay Chateau Deville with remote stuck in high. Remote works fine for light with dimmer, but will not turn off fan or change speed. Stuck on high.

When you had the batteries out of the remote, did you press all the buttons to be sure one is not stuck? Also, this could be a button failure.

My Hampton Bay ceiling fan runs only on high speed and the remote has stopped working even after changing the batteries. Does Hampton Bay have a life time warranty?

Yes, look up www.hamptonbay.com and get their contact number from them. It sounds like your transmitter (Remote) has failed. If it were the receiver the fan would most likely not work at all.

Hampton bay ceiling fan (7030T) remote does not work.

This symptom is usually caused by either a bad receiver or bad transmitter. Install a new remote system (receiver & transmitter).

No high speed on Hampton Bay Fan

The high speed motor winding may have opened. Not too common on Hampton Bay fans.

I have the same problem and I notice that the fan goes in reverse when I turn off and back on. I have not found the solution yet but I would say that the remote has factory defects.

Hampton Bay 54 In. 5-Blade with remote control at wall.

1. Set the remote to run the fan on high.
2. Pull the fan speed chain until the fan reaches high speed.
3. All speeds should work normally now.
The remote is modulating the maximum speed as set by the pull chain.
