After the last use did you run a FULL tank of HOT water throught he machine to clear the lines and the pump? If not the soap has clogged one of the two. If it is the lines simply remove them (one at a time is less confusing) clear them and all is good. If it is the pump (white L shaped object back left corner of machine as you face it) you will have to go to a local vacuum repair shop and order the part.
I have found that the plastic hoses from the solution tank to the base have kinked on mine. After replacing them with a more pliable hose, the solution usually flows....
water outlet are plugged soap residue seal broken or misaligned
I suggest using a cleaning solution, 50/50 vinager/water, in the fluid tank to clean the ports. sometimes Unit may have a fluid pump problem.
First take the clean water tank off of the machine, and turn it upside down to inspect the bottom of the tank. There should be a gasket with a spring and valve stem, which you should be able to move the valve stem up into the tank when pushed upwards. If you notice that there is no gasket, or vale stem, you'll need to purchase a new clean solution tank.

If the valve stem and gasket are ok, then it is most likely going to the pump assembly that has gone bad. This is a little more difficult repair, you should probably look up your closest Hoover repair center, or independent vacuum repair store, and take it in to them to have it repaired.

if u find any faulty parts as u follow the above instructions.... please visit the below website to order for new parts....

Hi Shahrramm,

Yes the possible issue here is the starter fuse or starter capacitor. This may have blown up that's why when you switch it on, it does not react. The part can be replaced by a professional for no more than 50$.

Hope this helps,

regards,

voodoo

Hoover carpet cleaner does not **** water it blows

push the little square thingy down on the very front of the bottom bucket, then put the lid on before you put it on the machine, then let the force of putting it together push the front thingy up when you put the bottom bucket on the machine as one assembly..... it makes the seal right somehow..... ....my wife about pulled her hair out before we figured it out the hard way...... I may get a reward tonight......

I can't seem to figure out how to use it =(

Hello,
I would advise you to ALWAYS to FIRST UNPLUG YOUR VACUUM before beginning any service procedure. Hoover F5807 SteamVac Wet/Dry Vacuum. Well, there are 2 tanks, one is the water solution tank that is on top and the other is the water recovery tank of which is on the bottom. You use the trigger assm to release the water and the Hoover SteamVac works the best on the pull back. You can spry the water going forward but pull it back very slowly and let the brushes do the scrubbing for you and the dirty water pickup. There is a ball in the dirty water pup tank that will rise to the top and stop the water from coming in, @ that point you need to empty and rinse out the recovery tank and re-install. If you run out of solution the top tank cap or cover is the measuring cup to determine the amount of solution – usually it is one cap full and extremely hot water, there is a switch for the carpet and the upholstery, if the handle is in the released position then the brushes down below should be moving – just look in the brushes window and see if they are moving – if the handle is in the upright position then you can remove the attachment hose and then use the attachment and the revolving brushes will stop. I hope this will help you in working with the Hoover SteamVac. If not contact the Hoover Co and get an owner’s manual and give them the model # and serial #. So if you need further assistance, please feel free to contact your local vacuum cleaner dealer in your area or in the yellow pages, or contact the factory phone number or website to further assist you with your questions.

My cleaner is not dispensing the shampoo solution. Still sucks up the dirty water that I manually applied with a scrub brush. I use this on my tiled screen porch floor and it has worked great many times.

Hello,

There is a release value in the bottom the holding tank that may be bad and not opening or the trigger assm in the handle may be broken and not connecting to release the water to scrub and clean the carpets. Leaking Hoover Steamvac

Either you have a crack in the tank and it is running down the indise of the handle and going out the bottom, or there is a water line off either under where the tank sits or under the top cover.

Steam vac will not pick up dirty water

My Hoover Steamvac problem isn't with the bruches--it's with the suction. Dirty soapy water stays in the carpet instead of being returned to one of the holding tanks.
