My Lg Lotus wont stay on, but it will for a short period of time, then it shuts off again. Even on and off the charger...i don't know if its my fault or not. I went to the sprint store but they were no help, all they did was take out the battery then put it back in again, it stayed on for about 5 minutes, then on the way home shut off. and it keeps doing that. Help?

I had the same probelm:My phone started using a female to tell me if somebody called to sent a text message. Phone: LG Lotus LX600 Solution: Tools -> 6)Voice Control -> 5)Voice GuideSet Alert to OffSet Reader to Off I don't know how it got into this state, but turning off the Voice Guide Alert and Reader made it go away.
Okay, might not be reading this right but here goes. If the camera shows the batteries as full then I'd go with that. The charger will come on for a few seconds even with a freshly charged battery because it take that long for the charger to realize the battery is already full. You can't feed an already full battery, so the charger is shutting off completely. Yes normally the light would stay on and the charger would continue to trickle a charge into it it until it is removed. In your case I think you have those batteries stuffed to the gills so the charger is shutting right down. One of the problems with these batteries is as much as the manufacturers deny it they form a memory. Best thing to do with these rechargeable batteries is drain them right down and then replace with a freshly recharged battery.
Ugh. The same exact thing happened to mine. I am so incredibly angry and frustrated! I heard that trying a new battery might work... I tried my sister's battery, since she has the same phone, and it was no go for me, but you ought to give it a try if you can... I did everything I could to try and fix it, but it won't do anything else!
im sorry but water and electronics do not mix if you have a warrente get your phone replaced and DO NOT tell them it was water damaged if your phone has a sticker on the inside below the battery and it is red peel it off and tell them you do not know what happened to it. Hopefully they will replace the phone
I am on my 3rd LG Lotus and have had the exact same issues with my screen with all of them...freezing up, blank/black screen, and the picture being all scrambled, or even funky colors. This is all due to LG's brilliant design of the hinge on the phone. Notice how when you have the phone open the top part (with the screens) has a bit of give in it if you push on it? That "give" is the hinge pinching the wire that supplies electricity/data to the screens. LG has designed the hinge so poorly that it cannot withstand normal wear and tear of being opened and closed for even a few weeks before it begins to fail. Shame on you LG!! I smell a lawsuit coming on.....
As far as a solution, there isn't really one except for get a new phone if you can. Maybe even get the warranty on it (something like $7 a month plus a crazy deductible between $50-$100). After fixing it 1 or 2 times, you could have purchased a different phone. This is really upsetting because the Lotus is such an awesome design. LG, I hope you are reading this.
