We have this crib as well. We bought it from Babys R' Us in 2005.
We also purchased the rails to convert it to a full sized bed. It did not come with instructions but I can explain to you how to put it together.

The rail conversion set should come with 2 pieces of wood that act as the bed frame. You do not need to purchase the extended frame. The set should also come with 4 long screws, the hex tool to tighten it and 4 metal pieces. You might also have some wood nail cover plugs.

Once you've taken apart your crib, the only pieces that you will need are the 2 longer pieces of the crib...the headboard and the footboard. The 2 shorter side pieces which served as a headboard and footboard as a crib and the metal grate to hold up the mattress can be put into storage.

On the sides of each of the new wood rails, you will see a circle indent on each end with a hole. You will insert one of the long screws into each and then insert it into the head board. You must use the special tool to screw/ tighten it in. The metal flat pieces can be inserted into it the circle befor eyou are done tightning so that it does not strip or damage the end of the circle. You do this with the other rail on the other end and then add the footboard using the same process. If you would like, I can send you a copy of what this looks like close up. ( the cricle indent with screws. The bed is extremely strong. We've all napt in it as a family along with our 2 large dogs. I highly recommend ordering the extra long/ tall bed rails from OneStepAhead for security because my son has rolled out of the bed and it is super tall!

Is it the full size bed frame that goes to that bed because if it is not it will not attach. It will only attach to the special boards you had to order from them. You can try this email I have for them, but I am unsure if they are in business anymore. I know they were connected with Graco so if the email does not work you can try Graco for a manual. The email I have is customerservice@simplicityforchildren.com

Bed rails to convert crib to full size. Simmons metal bed rails #000560. Where to get them?

You can also purchase them from Plumstruck which is what I did. They shipped faster and were exactly the ones that I was looking for. The listing says "Saratoga" but they also fit a bunch of other Simmons Cribs. (Santiago, Callisto, Valencia, Raleigh, Sausalito) just to name a few.

Instructions To Convert Jardine Madison Life Time Crib

To convert your crib to a Full Size bed you will need to purchase a set of full size bed rails (hook style for headboard and foot board). You can find this at any discount mattress store, or furniture outlet, it can range in price from $39.99 - $99.99. To install the rails you will see slots with bars on the headboard/footboard, this is where the hooks on the rails slide into. There are no bolts used to secure the rails to the headboard/footboard.

Jardine enterprises does not make a wood rail kit as was shown in some of the earlier ads for the Madison line of convertible cribs, and do not waste your time ordering the rail kit from Babies-R-Us as it is simply a metal rail kit (which you may be able to get cheaper at a local furniture/mattress store).

Use the lower daybed rail between the two front posts for the foot board. Another option for the full-size conversion is to purchase the metal rails (hook style) for a headboard only and not even bother with a foot board.

If you are still unsure of what you need to do for the full-size conversion please feel free to email me at gistecknician@aol.com.
