Question about Yahoo Mail

1 Answer

Name of Stephanie Carpenter in my spam mail

I have had several e-mails, both in my e-mail and now in the spam; which I am glad they label as spam, but they are addressed to an individual by the name of Stephanie Carpenter. My name is Maryellen Palmatier and that name is not even close to my name. If they could sort that out; even before it comes to spam I would be appreciative.
This has been going on for over a year in Yahoo.
The only thing that I do in Yahoo, is the messenger anymore because of this problem. I deal with MSN, solely because of this e-mail problem and the spam is separated, but it is never in anyone else's name. If you would please help me so that I do not have to constantly delete spam mail for a Stephanie Carpenter within my mepart@yahoo.com, I would appreciate it.
I am really not a person to complain, but when 288 spam mails are in my spam box and the majority of them are to Stephanie Carpenter and not one of them are for Maryellen Palmatier, which is my name, I have concerns.
I appreciate your time and consideration to look into this matter.

Kind Regards,

Maryellen Palmatier

The mail you receive is most likely spam, if you post your email address on public places, just like you did here, a spamming program / bot that looks for such emails will pick it up and put it on a list of emails to send spam email to. over time you will probably get more and more spam email in different peoples names and so on, messages for viagra, drugs, etc completely useless spam email.

I have filed several emails from same sender in gmail's "All Mail" folder. How can I recover all at once? Thanks.

All Mail is not a folder nor a label in Gmail, it is a designation for All Mail, except for Trash and Spam.

To do what you want to do, use the Gmail Search to look for from:SendersEmail (replace SendersEmail with the Sender's actual email address).

If they exist anywhere (other than spam or trash) they will be listed in the results of the search.

If you are trying to find them after they have been moved to trash or spam, you can use the modifier; in:anywhere, which will list them everywhere they exist in gmail whether they are in the spam or trash folders as well as all mail.
(e.g. from:SendersEmail in:anywhere).

Once they are listed in your search results, you can use the tools at the top of the search list to check them all then move them all to spam, trash, inbox or archive (all mail). You can also attach a label to them so you can search using the label:YourLabel feature of the Gmail search.

If you like, you can create a filter that automatically places the label on any new messages that come from that sender.
(Click on the Gear, Settings, Filters and Blocked Addresses, and choose Create a new filter.

**spam** appears in incoming message header

It is just warning you that some e-mail have been identified as coming from a spammer. You can choose to open them or destroy them. Configure the spam filters of your e-mail client if it labels legitimate mail as spam. You may also choose to disable the filters so that you get no warnings (if that is what you want).

Get rid of spam

Unsolicited junk e-mail, or spam, is an unwelcome and often offensive byproduct of the Internet's success. Although there's no guarantee you can avoid all spam, there are ways to avoid looking at most of it.Instructions

  1. Basic prevention
    • 1 If you're already getting spam messages, check with your Internet service provider to see whether it has a spam-prevention option that scans your incoming e-mail for known spammers.
    • 2 If you're lucky enough not to be getting spam now, then sign up for a second (free) e-mail address from a service such as Yahoo or Hotmail. Use this address exclusively for e-commerce, mailing-list subscriptions and bulletin-board postings of any kind. Reserve your main e-mail address for private e-mail to and from friends.
    Rule filtering
    • 1 Create an e-mail folder called Suspected Spam.
    • 2 Use the filtering feature in your e-mail program to create rules that redirect spam messages to your Suspected Spam folder. Most spam is not addressed to its recipient by name.
    • 3 Define a rule for incoming mail that says, "If my name appears in the To: or cc: field, then move this message to the Inbox." The procedure for defining rules varies among e-mail programs, so you should consult your program's Help feature to learn exactly how this works.
    • 4 Define individual rules to catch e-mail that isn't addressed to you personally but that you nevertheless want to receive, such as messages from lists you've subscribed to. Have these rules redirect the relevant messages to the Inbox or to special folders that you have created for mail from those sources--for instance: "If the Sender field includes 'MyList,' then send this message to the MyList folder."
    • 5 Define a final rule that sends all other e-mail that hasn't already been redirected by one of your other rules to the Suspected Spam box. For instance, a rule that says, "If the Sender field isn't 'XYXYXYXYY,' then move this message to the Suspected Spam folder" would work as a catchall.

  • Never reply to a spam message, even to request that your name be removed from the list. That just tells the spammers that your address is valid.

Your sent me a offer letter for me but its not displayed in my gmail account

Try to look for the Spam mail because some mail messages are directly placed in Spam label.
Look for the more 6 more label on the left side bar of your gmail account. Click and select Spam label. If you can't find it there try to wait for sometime. If it doesn't there might be a problem on the sender account.
Cheers

My name is Nick Felix email is nicknickfelix@aol.com a carlyn courtny is advertising over and over????I do not know this person and need him deleted from my face book PLEASE

This type of mail which is advertising and bothering you again and again is called "SPAM" or sometimes they are called "JUNK MAIL". In yahoo mail its refered to as spam and if you have an hotmail account they are called Junk mail. Since you are using AOL I am sure that you will be having something same written on a tab like Spam mail, junk mail or garbage mail etc. Just select the mail message that is bothering you and click on the tab that says Spam or Junk mail and this person or any automated email will not be able to bother you again. All the future mails and the mail you selected to spam will go to Junk or spam folder.

Good Luck!

If that mail, that you recive is a classic spam, then only solution is to filter it and put it in spam.
You can remove your mail from mass list, only if you do subscribed on some of the mailing lists.

I sent a friends email address to spam by mistake,I havent got any emails since how do I retrieve the address from spam and is it blocked by sending to spam

Hi, It is not your fault that your mail to your friend entered spam. Email service providers usually have that issue especially yahoo. Gmail is better in that it accepts most mail without spamming then. Mails in spam folders are usually automatically deleted after some time on Yahoo. What you need to do is tell your friends who use Yahoo to include your name in their address books. That way, when they get mail from you, it will not enter spam. You can always check your "Sent" folder for a copy of the mail you sent earlier that didn't get to them.
Cheers.

I can't find a driver for my ELTRON LP2443PSA thermal label printer. Please help

Please send me an e-mail to: kserge1@hotmail.com

With the subject line: Eltron Orion LP2443 PSAT Label Printer, and I will be more than glad to help you.

If you will use this subject line, then it will be easier for me to identify that the message that you are going to send me is NOT spam message. Because I get a lot of junk mail per day. Which is about 75% of the total e-mail's that I get in my inbox every day. And usually I do not have time to go through reading all of my messages, so if the message title will look suspicious, or all capital letters, or all small letters, than I may flag your message as "Spam".

I have the same exact printed which I also bought at the end of January, 2009, which I originally received without any drivers at all, but after I spend a lot of time looking, and with hard work, I finally found the correct drivers that I use for this same exact Thermal Label Printer.

Also, just a suggestion: If you are going to use this printer for shipping online, then you can go to www.UPS.com, and get free Thermal Shipping Labels to use with UPS shipping service.

Currently, I have 2 completely compatible working drivers for this label printer. 1 of the drivers is for Windows 2000, or earlier systems, and the other driver is for Windows XP, or later operating systems. I use the second driver, with Windows Vista, and I have no problems using my Thermal Label Printer.

Therefore, I do not remember where I exactly downloaded the 2x drivers for this Thermal Label Printer, and do not have enough time to upload them online, because I am very busy, but, I do have 2x of the drivers downloaded on my computer, in it's own folder, that I can upload later on to some online file sharing site, like www.mediafire.com.

So, if you still need the drivers for this Thermal Label Printer, please send me an e-mail, and I will be more than glad to help you with both getting the drivers, and if I will have time, or if it won't take me very long time, Installing this Thermal Label Printer on your computer.

Hope I could help you. Thank you very much.
