Re: "image size over" message, and replay pic is very...

the memory card i had was dodgy, i bort it from amazon, i think it may have been fake, I went to dixons, bort another memory card, and works perfectly now, (i didnt realise this until after my camer had been sent back to where i had bort it from, and had it returned,) only to realise the camera was in deed fine, and it was the memory card that was wrong. the problem is completely resolved now.

this is all you need to do if you have the similar problem....I have spoken to sony, and they have agreed to replace the memory card for me.

Re: "image size over" message, and replay pic is very...

I've had the same problem and spent hours on solving out. I came out with very surprisingly simple explanation.
The pics you want to view / replay (the ones on the memory card only) were taken with a different camera. The other camera has more MegaPixels resolution.
In my case I was trying to replay pics taken on 7MB Sony camera, although my camera has only 5MB.
I hope this helps.
Let me know if this helped and how did you solve it.
Cheers, Andrej ( )

My olympus e volt 500 will not display image when in shoot mode

There is a little button on the back, marked 'info'. Press it to switch from picture view to settings view. It also operates the viewfinder.

Olympus also has a good photo editing program that is free and it allows you to edit photos and stitch pictures taken pn panoramic mode into one panoramic picture. It's called Olympus Master.

CAnnon Powershot A630 LCD screen will not light up when trying to take a pic. I can, however view old pics that I've already taken.

First press the DISP or DISPLAY button to see if that corrects the problem. If not, a stuck shutter is another common failure mode for digital cameras. The symptoms of a stuck or "sticky" shutter are very similar to CCD image sensor failure. The camera may take black pictures (for shutter stuck closed), or the pictures may be very bright and overexposed, sometimes with lines, especially when taken outdoors (for shutter stuck open).
To confirm a stuck shutter, put the camera in any mode other than "Auto", and turn the flash OFF (you don't want to blind yourself for the next step). Next look down the lens and take a picture. You should see a tiny flicker in the center of the lens as the shutter opens and closes. If no movement is seen, then you likely have a stuck shutter. If so, please see this link for further info and a simple fix that may help.

I see nothing in the Viewfinder...

The camera has a mirror lock up feature for cleaning the CCD sensor. You may have engaged it. Check your manual about this function

Blurry white image when pics are taken during broad daylight

Try first to reset your camera. Press the menu button, go over to setup, go down to reset, press the right arrow, highlight reset and press set. Don't worry it won't erase any of the pictures on your memory card. If that doesn't work you can try and manually set the white balance on your camera and I would recommend sending it into repairs if that doesn't work since it's taking nighttime pictures fine. :)
