Question about Kenmore 22422 Top Load Washer
Kenmore Top Loader 110.82183110. Just replaced belt and cannot remove inner agitator.
Look on the wigwag solenoids. their are 4 wires a white common wire on both solenoids and 2 different wires one on each solenoid. Check each solenoid for continuity. now here is the secret. This washer is getting age on it. The solenoids have shift pins mounted on shift levers to change the action from wash to spin. the motor on this model does NOT reverse. It relys on the wigwag assembly to do the shifting. The shift pins get rusty and won't move. Remove the shift pins and sand them down so they will slide easy when the solenoids are energized. if you feel like it is something wrong with the solenoid or the time you cans witch the none white wires and it will spin instead of wash and vice versa. This washer is a good un but an old un. unless it starts leaking i would hang on to it as long as possible. Let me know if you have more questions.
