Question about Homelite Mighty Lite Lawn Trimmer
I use a black molybdenum disulfide grease to lubricate the flex shafts. I remove the shaft, wipe off all of the old grease, apply a new coat of grease, and reverse the direction of the shaft when re-installing (top becomes bottom, bottom becomes top) to more evenly distribute the wear on the flex shaft.

White lithium grease works well
get it in a spray can and spray it in the tube where the flex shaft goes and then coat the flex shaft and reinstall
