SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: Port conflict with other service with netgear

It's telling you that there is already some type of service configured with the port you are trying to use. Confirm that the port number you are trying to forward is not listed elsewhere in the already-configured rules. or in the defaults of the router. If so, you will need to adjust the port you are using to something that does not conflict, or disable the existing rule.

How do i port forward?

My Netgear has a Port Forwarding/Port Triggering tab when I log into it. You click on add custom service and put the ports in. Your device needs to have a fixed IP address vs. DHCP. It's fairly simple once you fix the IP's and log into your router.

Install netgear wireless g router wgr14 v9

connect it to your modem with the WAN port and connect your computer to its LAN port and turn off everything. Then start modem, after 30 seconds the router and after 30 seconds the computer. No configuration should be necessary unless your modem is using an IP address and your router need another and you only have one from your ISP. Then you will need to contact your ISP to get another one or have them figure how it will work on their site. Use DHCP for your computer if possible so there will not be a subnet conflicts or IP conflicts or something.

For Windows 2000/XP users:

1. Please click on Start and select Run.
2. Type in cmd and click on OK.
3. In the Command Prompt, please type ipconfig/all then press Enter or Return key.
4. Please make sure that the Ethernet adapter has an IP Address that is the same range as the router (e.g. 192.168.1.2 for the computer and 192.168.1.1 for the router).
5. Please note down the IP address and Physical address.

B. Reserving an IP Address:

2. Connect to the router by typing http://routerlogin.com/basicsetting.htm or http://192.168.1.1 in the address field and click Enter or Return key.
3. A window will prompt for a username and password. The default username is "admin" and the default password is "password".

Note: Username and password are case sensitive. If it does not take password as the password, you might have changed it when you ran the NETGEAR Setup CD so please try other passwords.

4. When the setup page opens, click on LAN IP Setup under Advanced tab.
5. Click on Add under Address Reservation.
6. Under Address Reservation window, please select the radio button of the computer you wish to add from the Address Reservation Table.

Computer is right next to netgear router

A change in speed and connection stability like that could be caused by a number of things. If you've upgraded any major component of your computer lately (monitor, power supply, etc) that could account for the change. It could also be conflicting with another wireless router outside the home, from a neighbor perhaps. But age could also be a factor, since you mentioned it's already 3 years old, it may just need to be replaced. Try moving it farther away from the computer, 10 feet minimum, no more than 30. If that doesn't work, check with your computer if there are other wireless networks it can detect. If so, it could be the two conflicting with one another. If both of those don't help, it may be time to get a new router.

Wifi wont pick up internet netgear adapter does

there is a kind of conflict that has to do with the driver. If it worked when you just got your system, them a system restore would get it working.

Hardware conflict

You might have your internal modem set to the same com port as your com ports that are on your motherboard. You can try to go into BIOS and disable all com ports OR you can try to configure your internal modem in windows to use com 3 or com 4. Remember, that if your computer does have com ports in the back, then is is probably set to the same address as your internal modem so something needs to be moved.
