Xbox 360 video failure

The audio works but the video wont show. I have it set to TV and when i plugged in the green hd cable instead of the yellow one (with the white and red audio cables) the video showed up in black and white.
is there anything i can do from home or do i have to take it to be repaired?

If you want to save yourself some money don't send it to microsoft. They just do a temp. fix. Go on you tube and look up x-clamp fix. Trust me if you do it right your console will be fixed.

Everything works on my xbox 360 but the video wont show up, whats wrong and how do i fix it?

Make sure your audio/video cables are plugged in properly. If this is so make sure the switch on your cables ( only for some people ) is switched to the setting you have your tv on be it hd or tv. If this has not solved it try making sure your tv is on the correct setting and if all this fails your tv may be wrecked on the video ( yellow ) port, or you made need new cords like $10 2nd hand.

My xbox 360 dosent give video

Plug in the Yellow A/V connection to your TV's Video input. or if you have the HD cable you have to have the Green, Blue, Red, pluged in to get video, and then the White and Red for the Audio. (HD cable will not work at all on a A/V input on a TV.) HD cables have 2 red plugs, 1 is for audio, and the other is for video, they should be labeled to tell you what one is what, but if they are not, if you flaten the cords, the Audo White plug will separate the 2 reds, and the one that is between the White and either the Green or Blue plug is the other video.
If thats not it, I couldnt tell you, unless you have a bad connection on the back of your 360, or just a bad xbox.

No video or audio, bought a new AV cable still doesn't work

is is that cable the one that has the hd and regular tv setting. If it is go to the end that plugs into your 360 and make sure you have it on what ever cords you have plugged in(yellow, white, and red are normal tv. The rest are HD)

Which wires doi use to connect up my xbox with my

In order to connect your Laptop with Xbox 360, you will have to use the ethernet cable that came along with the Xbox 360,

For connecting the Xbox 360 to TV you would be having a HD AV cable if you have a Xbox 360 Pro model, you would have to insert one part of this cable with 3 colored wires red, blue and green to your composite video port behind your tv with similar color coding, and on the Xbox 360 HD AV cable you have an option to choose either TV or HD video output based on your TV make, also this cable has two more wires red and white meant for audio connectivity which would go to audio port behind TV with same color code ports

If you have got a normal AV cable with Xbox 360 then it would be a a wire with one single yellow colored wire for video and two wires Red and White for audio

Im plugging in all my xbox 360 cables but the game wont show up

If you have the cable that is both component and a regular a/v cable, make sure that the switch is on regular tv and not hd, then ste the hd settings to what your tv can handle and then turn it back if you need to.

I think the video cable for my xbox is messed up. Why does it keep showing up these little circle things? Whenever I turn on my xbox it doesn't come up anything but a black screen with little circles...

NOT HD: Make sure red goes to red, white on white, and yellow on yellow, also make sure the switch that is on the xbox wire plug says TV not HD.

HD TV: Make sure red on red, white on white, yellow on yellow, blue on blue, green on green, etc. Also make sure the switch that is on the xbox wire plug says HD not TC

My xbox 360 turns on fine but it won't show on my tv

Im presuming you have check all the cables settings...
and still just audio , It requires that the G.P.U. be Preheated
and seated ( clamp down) and then Burn in A.K.A. x clamp mod.
the dead video problem needs a little more then the regular
x clamp mod , so make sure who ever dose it has a good
success rate .

Audio works but the video is scrambled

I had this problem when I used my 360 on a new projector, its because the video setting on your 360 is set to 60Hz, and your display can only support 50Hz, you should still be able to see the picture enough to change the setting, but most games will now not work, so yu will really need to buy either;
- The VGA (like what PC'a use + audio) HD Cable
- The Component (a yellow, blue, green and red plug + audio) HD Cable
- The Advanced SCART Cable
or you can connect the standart composite cable (one yellow plug) to an RF modulator and use a coax (arial) connection, but this will give pretty dire quality.

Help me

turn your console off unplug the audio/video cable from back of xbox and plug it back in. make sure the white cord is in the hole of your tv and make sure the yellow one is in the yellow on the t.v. (unless your hd). make sure the cables are not loose. and on the plug in the back of your xbox for the audio/video cables is a switch that says hdtv and tv make sure its set to whatever your hooking up.
