SOURCE: Oven not heating properly

Hello. You have done an excellent job of explaining your problem. Read over the info. below as it sounds like your top element is not working.

  • When the food you're baking is done on top but not on the bottom--or when baking just takes far too long to finish--the bake element may be burned out.

You may get fooled into thinking it's working, because the oven is hot inside. But many electric ovens use the broil element, too, during the preheat and bake cycles. So the food may be getting heated only by the broil element, which causes poor baking results.

If the bake element is burned out, replacing it should solve the problem. Otherwise, you need to further troubleshoot the oven's electrical system to locate the defective wire or component.

  • When the temperature is consistent but too high or too low, it could be one of several different things. First check to see if the thermostat sensing bulb has come loose from its holder. It could be lying on the floor of the oven or resting on the heating element. This would cause the oven to not heat correctly.

If the thermostat bulb is not dislodged, it's likely that the thermostat or sensor is either mis-calibrated or defective.

Electronic ovens with a digital display use a sensor to monitor oven temperature. To solve temperature problems for these models, you may need to replace the sensor. On some digital-display models, you can calibrate the temperature using the key pad. See your operator's manual for details.

Ovens without a digital display often use a mechanical system for controlling temperature. On many of these units, you can remove the thermostat knob and adjust the knob itself to more accurately represent the actual setting of the thermostat.

If, when you remove the knob, there's a screw on the back of it with a small calibration plate, you can loosen the screw, adjust the plate, then tighten the screw again. If the knob isn't adjustable, and the oven temperature is off by more than 30 to 40 degrees, you need to replace the thermostat to solve the problem.

No heat from my Electrolux oven fan is running but oven light not working the oven is only six months old

Thank you for your inquiry, friend!

Based off the information you have provided your Electrolux oven is not heating properly. I would recommend performing a reset on your range which you can do by disconnecting power from it for ten minutes. If that does not help to correct your issue it could be a faulty element or control panel. I understand your range is only six months old typically the warranty for a range is one year. I would contact the manufacturer for proper resolution regarding a warranty. I hope this is helpful. -Matt

    Good Afternoon Friend,

I understand you are hearing a loud fan noise in your Electrolux range, model# EI30ES55JS. Typically, a fan will be running if the oven or cooktop area is on. This is to help keep the electronics cool so they do not become damaged. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

    -Best regards-

Is there a recall on this oven plef398aca that I

Here's the Deal everyone . . . I found this site while researching a used version of this Frigidaire stove (and similiar models, like Kenmore Pro/Elite, etc. all made by the same parent company- Electrolux). The stove I'm looking at also has had the F7 code and will not heat burners while displaying this code. In following up w/ the parent co., I learned that many of these "similiar" models are in fact on recall, and Electrolux is fixing them all at NO Cost to the owner, even if you are NOT the original owner you are covered under the recall terms. I suggest everyone call Electrolux in Georgia and see if you model is on the list!! Good Luck, don't mess with it, just call and get on it.

Danby microwave does not heat food and makes loud constant noise

IF the noise is a sound coming from the oven area, its the megatron tube. Typically, replacing the megatron tube is more expensive than replacing wiht a new unit and a new warranty.

I have an electrolux icon double wall oven. I turned on the self-clean function for 3hrs and it making a very loud noise during the cleaning process. Is that normal?

yes, if the humming is not the loud sound then the fan may need some lubrication or if it is tripping the circuit it will need replacing , but if it seems like it is a viberating noise from the fan , then it could be that its bearings are bad , but the whole fan motor would still need to be replaced , but if it sounds like it just may be a loose fan motor , then tightening up the screws on the motor would stop the vibrating sound and or the fan blades from scraping metal( another sound you may be hearing )
