SOURCE: what potentiometer is being used in rbx 374 bass

Yes, active use different value pots than passive. The volume control is LIKELY an "audio taper" which can be either an "A" or a "B" marking as there is confusion about the marking. The resistance is likely around 500K ohms down to as low as 50K ohms. The marking MIGHT be something like 504 B or 503 B or the same with the letter "A".

An A500 pot might be only 50 ohms... That would result in very low output. Again, the marking in the industry is not consistent.

Best bet is to get the part from Yamaha. Go to Yamaha America "parts" dept in California. You can search the phone number with Google.

I have a Yamaha GE 112c2 guitar. One day I was playing, and the sound suddenly cut off. The guitar was plugged in, the amp was on, and the volume was on high. I can't find a wiring diagram, or anything...

Sounds like the amp (or speaker) blew. Do you have anything else you can plug into the amp to test? If possible use a different cord to preclude that as a cause, too.

Hi, I have an RBX 374 and I cannot get any sound from it. I have got the wiring scheme but the wiring looks O.K. Some say it might be the pre-amp. Does anyone know what could be the problem...

i dont' see where this model has active pickups (guessing this is what you mean by pre-ampped).
The issue can be in a few places.

1) the strings could be too far from the pickups and the instrument needs to be tuned.
2) the pickups are bad
3) your jack is bad
4) the cable is bad
5) your equilizers are not corrected
6) your volume control is turned down or damaged
7) your amp is damaged

this is a small list of the basic possibilities.

I have an intermittent trouble with my Laney LV 100, intermittent crackling sound in sequence with the power light getting dimmer. this usually happen with high volume playing in chords. To describe more,...

clean all "vr" (variable resistors) like volume bass treb etc, sounds like bad contacts. this happens due time while they oxidating. maybe helps. use "contact" spray for best result

Here is the link you need:http://europe.yamaha.com/en/products/musical-instruments/guitars-basses/el-basses/rbx/rbx374/?mode=model The manual is down loaded in pdf. Scroll down the page. The serial number has nothing to do with the manual only the model number applies.

Volume control of peavey bass guitars

Sorry but your post did not provide enough info. Are you having a problem with the volume control. Do you need a wiring diagram. What model Peavey bass do you have. For instance, the Peavey bass I have has active electronics ans requires a 9 volt transistor radio battery to power them.

this is a seymore duncan wiring diagram. its standard bass wiring, and by the looks of the picture it should be close. luckily, most electrical manufacturers use universal wiring color codes.
