Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
make sure the yellow plug is plug to video in on your set.
if so the G.P.U. has an open circuit on the video feed pin( B.G.A )
the console will need a x clamp mod , with particular attention payed
to the G.P.U. , A preheat proses is necessary for the G.P.U.
in order to assure a solid repair . It's a little more involved then
the standard X clamp mod , and needs to be done right the
first time , in order to avoid a failed mod, which is much harder

Follow the steps below, Hope this helps
1. Try another Av cable ( Audio video Cable )
2. Try another television
3. If the steps dont work, call xbox customer support to have your xbox serviced. Good Luck! hope your console still has warranty
The main reason why its acting that way its possible that the AV PORT is faulty.

If your TV is HD, you should definitely be connecting the component video cables (green, blue and red) from the 360 to the TV (the 321 will not do video pass-thru from component cables).
-Make sure you have a picture at this point. (TV switched to whichever input you connect the 360 to)
You can get an RCA extension cable for the audio portion (red and white) to connect to the 321 for audio. You could also connect an optical audio cable to the 321. An optical cable must be assigned from the system menu to work..
Let me know if this helps.

SOURCE: my xbox 360 wont show video
Hi, when this happens, it is caused from the GPU getting to warm. This is actually the first step to the RROD. The good news is you can do an x-clamp replacement and it will bring your video back. I have fixed quite a few of 360's with this problem and it corrected all of them and they have not had any problems since.

SOURCE: xbox 360 no video but sound
My Xbox 360 video and sound went out and It is not the cord because I used another cord and it still did not work. I was playing a game and the graphics went to really good to bad and I reset the Xbox and know it just comes up with black screen with lines on it.
