That means you want to transfer photos from iPhone to computer, you can use iTunes to help you, however, iTunes will back up all data on iPhone to computer.
If you only want to transfer iPhone photos to computer, you can read this post, How to Transfer Photos from iPhone to Windows Computer

A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

SOURCE: How to save files on iPhone
Sorry, you just have to wait - probably only a month or two - check this link; http://forums.appleinsider.com/showthread.php?t=76167 "Fall 2007 is when the iPhone's features are set to expand in earnest, he adds. The iPhone will not only gain a disk mode for transferring computer files but should also receive a full-fledged file browser that lets users store and open documents. Its omission from the iPhone software made available in June was supposedly made primarily because the company wants a fully developed browser very similar to that found in Mac OS X Leopard, including the option of Cover Flow browsing." All I discovered sounds like the update will solve pretty much all of the issues with iphone, including your problem. even if not great news, hope this helps, I am sure you will find out when the update is ctually brought out, it will be well announced. :)

on 3G...touch the options arrow button at the bottom and you have choices for the email, to include saving the image. Once you do so, it will be saved on your iphone's camera roll.

That sounds like a software problem not saving pictures but does the shutter open up at all? Did the camera ever work or is it only recent that the problems are happening?
I would suggest that you back up your phone then restore it back to its factory settings, after that sync it as a new iphone as any past bugs would just be reinstalled into it and cause the same problems. The latest software would then be installed in the iphone at the same time. Try not to download any apps for a day or so and see if that makes any difference.
