You can set up a Netflix account online from a computer. Once you have a Netflix account you would need a "Smart" TV to access Netflix. Your TV does not have the Netflix application... so you need another way to get Netflix, such as a game console (PS3/PS4/XBOX) or some sort of streaming TV box. It will connect to an HDMI port
The Sony Bravia has the Netflix App built into the TV so it sound like the user who initially set it up is still logged in? They will most likely have to sign out through their Netflix account themselves, or you might be able to access the option through the Sony Essentials account that should have been set up with the TV.
You can follow this link to the Sony website for the issue. If you continue to have issues, I recommend the Chat option to the right of the page for live tech Support.
Netflix is available as a native XBox 360 app, accessible from the Dashboard. It will need to be installed the first time you try to run it, but after that it runs like any other app. You do have to have the system updated to the latest Dashboard to use it, however. Look for it in the video marketplace. No PC is required to utilize the app on the XBox, although the system does have to be authorized to connect to your Netflix account
I take it you activated your netflix account please ensure this by following these steps.
If you have an Xbox LIVE Gold membership and a Netflix account, all you have to do is activate your account on your console.
Go to Video Marketplace and open Netflix.
Select Yes, I want to activate instant streaming.
Write down the activation code that appears on the screen.
As soon as your account is active, your Instant Queue will appear on your console. Follow the steps below to watch an item from your queue.
NoteThere are some types of Netflix accounts that do not support streaming for the instant Queue. If you have one of those accounts, you'll see an error message suggesting that you upgrade your account to one that does support streaming. ..
if this isnt the problem then it sounds like it may have to do with the controller idling out. Such as the controller shuts off and then signs off xbox live thus interrupting your movie. I have seen this before and there isnt much you can do for it except get a xbox 360 tv style remote or just try not to idle the controller. Thanks, Midwest-tek
