Just drop it off the wall. Very easy. Take the flue covers off and the glass. Then just dismount it. It's not a blower. It is an exhaust canopy. The fan or motor is usually the last to fail unless you have had something fall inside and break the fan.

Replace Broan Model K260A Range Hood Light Switch Slider Assembly

Hi if the new part has no screw holes or place for clip and it is only push in connector ie you dont need to solder the wires to it then it will just pull out use a small screw driver under the edge and gently pry free you cant damage it anymore than it is anyway can you.
Also on the side of the new switch if their is no groove cut into it for a push on clip to hold it in place then it will just pull out and push the new one in.

Best (Broan) K260A - I tried to change the bulb as well....completely inaccessible to change with hands (bulb is set deeper in hood, not even flush) tried gloves, rubber jar opener but cannot get access to...

The lamp holder assembly snaps into a hole in the range hood with spring clips. To remove the light bulbs, you simply push and turn, like older, bayonet style automotive turn signal bulbs. It seems you have broken your lamp holder assembly. Just break the trim ring so it can be removed, or you can try to take it out reverse polish style by releasing the spring clips from the middle inwards. Once the trim ring is loose, you can extract the body of the lamp holder through the hole... the wires will be barely long enough to stick out the hole if you are lucky. If you are crafty, you may fashion a repair on the separated lamp socket assembly. If not, your replacement part number is SV16569. just call nutone-broan at 800-558-1711 and they will be glad to ship you a new lamp shell socket trim assembly.

The fan blower that blows cool or warm air through the vents will not work and I am wondering how you remove this part (the cover) to repair this part?

You could just have a blown fuse but the fuse blew for a reason.
There are a few possiblities, I'll try to list them in the most likely order;
1) blower motor speed control resistors.
2) blower control switch
3) blower motor
The blower motor and speed control resistors are usually accessable from under the hood. Once you find the blower motor follow the wire that leaves the motor to where it plugs into the fire wall. This is the speed control resistor assembly. unplug the wires and remove the 2-3 screws that mount it to the fire wall. When you get it out you will find 2-4 wire coils on the back, these are the control resistors. If they are burnt or broken you need to replace them. If they look fine you need to test them with a Ohm meter or continuity tester. If they test good (having continuity) then you need to test the blower motor.
To test the blower motor, you'll need a jumper wire or an amp meter and test leads long enough to reach the battery from the plug in for the resistors. Plug the resistor assembly back into the fan plug. Fasten alligator clips to your jumer wire or use your test leads from the amp meter. Fasten your alligator clip to one end of the resistor assembly then touch the other end to the battery and listen for the blower motor to start. If it doen't start your problem is the blower motor. If it does start then your problem is most likely your fan control switch. Given the complexity of changing the switch and the many differences from vehicle to vehicle I can't tell you how to do that and I recommend you have a professional do it.

Blower motor only works on high speed

Change the blower motor resistor. Under the hood, passengers side, above/behind the strut tower. Good luck and I hope this was helpful.

Thermador downdraft does not stop going up and going down automatically

I had a similar issue with the Thermador CVS30R hood continually going up and down, and also issues with the fan starting.
The issue was found to be a loose control arm off the motor. The arm itself moved outward on the motor shaft which resulted in it missing the switches that control the hood up/down and fan start.
This was a somewhat simple fix. Make sure the hood is in the down position. Unplug the unit from power(important!). Unscrew the screw that connects the drive arm to the drive link. Unscrew the motor/control cover, then unscrew the 4 screws holding the complete motor/control unit on (2 Phillips-head screw on each end of the assembly). Pull the complete motor/control assembly out, be careful of wiring. Once out, push the drive arm on firmly onto the motor assembly and tighten the screw. When doing so make sure the 2 micro switch arms are not caught and are free to switch.
When placing the unit back in, ensure all wiring is clear from being caught and ground is reconnected. Put it all back together and done!
I found this link to be useful for a parts/configuration diagram:http://www.appliancepartspros.com/partsearch/model.aspx?model_id=232629&diagram_id=194441#d194441
