Electricity in India is 240 Volts, alternating at 50 cycles per second. You will require a voltage converter if you are carrying a device that does not accept 240 Volts at 50 Hertz. Check the voltage selector atthe back and set it to teh correct voltage - if not present buy an adaptor. Your component will have to be examined by an expert. The only thing I that may not match is the power supply which I guess is 220VAC in India. Other than that I don't see any problem that arise from using it in your country.

Whoops! Being a Bose, you should be lucky but the sounds you describe are not good. Take it to a competent engineer and get an honest opinion.

You can get a 3 pin plug from many shops, but make sure the voltage rating on the back says it will work on 240V if using in britain as America use 115v electriccal system.

It is 94/100 % sure it is smoked. You can look inside for a fuse, but based upon your description, there proabbly is not one.

32 '' CRT won't turn on afer power surge

Follow these steps to troubleshoot the television not turning on:

Make sure the AC power cord is connected securely to a working wall outlet.
NOTE: If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, unplug it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.

Press the POWER button on the television.
Press the POWER button on the remote control that was supplied with the television.
NOTE: If the television turns on and off using the POWER button on the television but does not respond to the POWER button on the remote control, troubleshoot the remote control.

Unplug the television power cord from the electrical outlet for 30 seconds.
Plug the power cord back into a known working electrical outlet.
Attempt to turn on the television.
IMPORTANT for the following models only:

KDF-E42A10
KDF-E50A10
KDL-V26XBR1
KDL-V32XBR1
KDL-V40XBR1
Unplugging the above television models from the electrical outlet may only be a temporary fix. The problem may reoccur after several months of use. To completely resolve the issue, a software update is available.

For all other models, service will be required if the troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue.

Bose cinemate will not power on. light stays red?

Make sure your system is not plugged into a surge protector. Sometimes a surge protector will foul the system up, don't know why. lol. I fought with my system for 3 hours trying to get it to work, then moved it from my surge protector to the wall and it came on. If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the receiver module itself, wait 60 sec, then plug it back in. If that still does not solve the problem, I would suggest calling Bose Customer Service..

Cant get all componenets to work together

Okay so you need to run a fiber optic cable to back of bose system for sound on the cablebox if it's a hd cablebox. If you don't have a fiberoptic connection on cable box then you can use a digital coax audio cable and plug it from cablebox if it has it to back of bose system where the plugs are colored all black under the red and white connections. This cable is basically a yellow video rca type cable. That cable doubles as a video cable and a digital audio cable. But anyways once you plug your cablebox up digitally you need to make sure under the settings or setup menu of cablebox that you go under audio and make sure your cablebox is set to dolby digital instead of hdmi. Especially if it's a scientific atlanta time warner cable box. The bose remote should operate eveything still unless I read your question wrong and your saying it doesn't.
