Wii wont play any games

None of my games are scrached or smudged but every time I try to play a game it just says it has a problem reading the disc. Everything else works fine just not reading the game.

Wii could not read disc

There could be several things wrong. Let's start with the most basic - is the disc inserted correctly? The holographic side needs to be on the left when inserting it. Then, make sure there are no scratches or smudges on the bottom of the disc. A common solution is to wipe it with a cloth or even your shirt if you don't have one handy. Look on the holographic side of the disc to make sure there isn't anything left on it. After cleaning thoroughly, try playing the disc again.
If you're still having a problem, try restarting the Wii console. However, there's always a possibility that you have a bad disc or, if you're unable to play any games, a bad console.

Disc won't play

As the Wii uses discs that can be scratched, dirty, or otherwise damaged -- it's important to first check the disc.

Look for fingerprints or other smudge marks. If you have dirty marks on the disc, you can wash it off with regular dish soap and water. Not too much soap though. Make sure you dry it off with something very soft [like a microfiber cloth] before you put it back into your Wii.

Second -- scratches will stop a disc from playing... or the disc will play until it gets to the scrached section then give you an error. Check and make sure there are not too many -- or deep scraches.

If a scratched game won't play through but other games play just fine -- chances are the disc is bad. However, if nothing is playing through on your Wii, not even a new game, there is a problem with the Wii's DVD drive. There is a laser in the drive that reads discs -- and many other moving parts in there. The following website sells the Wii DVD drives. It's not too difficult to replace yourself:

My disc wont play on my gamecube, its not my gamecube because it plays other games but the disc plays on my wii.

I have the same problem. The Wii has a better lazer eye on it that can read through more scratches and gunk and smudges and stuff than a gamecube. The gamecubes lazer is alot weaker and more touchy and more likely not to play a scratched disc than a Wii would..

Wii reads "DISC CANNOT BE READ" when playing NFS Most Wanted(GC)

usually, when wii's and nintendo ds's that have wi fi, even if you dont use it, it might have a virus. it happenes alot in different games. since none of your other games are doing it, i would say that it is most likely the game. try taking it in to have it professionally cleaned.

New Wii Game Unable to read disc

You may have to replace the laser in the wii so that it can read the disc, if this isn't thecase, then I don't have any other solutions for you.

Wii game disc could not be read

Some games have known issues

* Super Smash Bros. Brawl
* Excite Truck - No cursor
* Pokémon Battle Revolution

Is this just on one disk? If so,

* Check the bottom of the Game Disc (the side without any labels or writing) for any dirt or damage (such as cracks, scratches, etc.).

o If the game looks significantly damaged, such as with scratches or cracks, it will need to be replaced.

o If the game looks dirty (fingerprints, smudges), try cleaning the Game Disc. If the problem persists, the Game Disc will need to be replaced.

On mulitpul but some games play, are you able to play one type of Game Disc but not another (for example, you can play Wii Game Discs but not Nintendo GameCube Game Discs)?

If so, then it is likely there is a problem with the Wii console and it will need to be repaired.

If all discs will not play this indicates the problem is likely with the Wii console and it will need to be repaired.

I hope this was helpful.

Wii Game Disc Off Of Amazon

Have you checked the disc for smudges? It sounds like you have a dirty disc. If that's not it, have you tried other discs in your Wii?
If the disc worked before, it should still work, unless:

A. Disc is dirty
B. Disc is scratched
C. Wii isn't playing any discs
