Hardware malfunction call up hp at 1800 474 6836 and we will troubleshoot for you trust me it will help cauz there are so many things that we can do that this space im writing in is to small.eg: connect the printer directly to the wall jack.
unplug the power cable of the printer and wait for 30 secs before repluggin the printer.move the carriage(that holds the printheads,spraying part of your printer) with your hand and check if it moves id it does n't then its definitly a hardware problem with your printer but you will need to call in to hp for a total problem resolution.
