Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

My webcam is black and white and blurdy..how to adjust..

Many webcams have a focus adjustment somewhere on the webcam itself.Try adjusting that to correct the blurriness.

As for the black and white image, there is often software that controls the incoming picture of the webcam, and offers different settings and adjustments to "enhance" the image on whatever chat or recording program you are using. Also, some chat or recording programs offer those adjustments as well. Without knowing the make and model of the webcam and the software you are attempting to use the webcam with, I cannot get much more specific than that.

I'm assuming you are using the Webcam on a PC running Windows. While the webcam is on, look for a task-bar icon on the bottom right right of the screen (beside the clock) that says the name of the Webcam maker when you hover the mouse cursor over it. If you see one that says the maker's name, double-click it. that might open up a utility that will allow you to turn "Black & White" mode off.

Whenever i go to open my webcam (acer crystal eye) on my laptop, which isnt that old.. i got it for christmas, it makes a noise, like the one that comes up when you unplug something or something is not...

The Software Driver for your webcam might have gotten corrupted. If you still have the driver CD that came with your laptop, you can use that to reinstall the driver for the webcam.

You can also go to this website to download the driver >>> http://support.acer.com/us/en/product_support.aspx?tab=1
Choose the Operating System (windows vista, windows xp or 7), then click on the download button on the right. Once downloaded, run it and that should reinstall the driver for your webcam.

Creative Webcam Instant drivers for Vista

My wife has a new computer with Vista on it.  I tried to plug in my Creative Webcam Instant into it, thinking there would be no problems.  Turns out that Creative doesn't support Vista for a couple of its webcams.  I fixed it, though, and now there's no problems.  What you have to do is take advantage of a couple of Vista's less-obvious features.  Put the Creative CD in.  On the CD (not in a folder on the CD), there's a setup.exe.  Right-click it and select "Properties".  On the "Compatibility" tab, enable the option to run it in compatibility mode for XP SP2.  Then also check the "run as administrator" option, just for good measure.  After that, it will install just fine (otherwise, the Creative installer tells you that it doesn't support your version of Windows).  Then, after it installs, find the program's executable.  It should be in the relevant program files folder (if you're not sure, hover over the webcam center shortcut in the start menu, and see where the program is actually located).  Do the same thing for the program executable (right-click, compatibility tab, enable compatibility mode for XP SP2, enable running as admin for good measure).  If it doesn't work for you after all that, I don't know what to tell you.  It works just fine for me now (it didn't want to otherwise).

EasyCam Vista Trouble

This webcam was not designed for Vista --- it does not have the Vista chipset. Jasco has a potential workaround for this on their website. Go to www.jascoproducts.com, support and then click on Browse and Update Vista certified products. Go to the bottom of the page and you will see a PDF link. It's not a guaranteed fix, but it's worth a try. Good Luck!
