Does the screen remain the same color when you turn it off and back on, unplug it and back in, or disconnect it from the pc and reconnect it?

Is it possible that you could try plugging it into a different pc, or even a laptop?

  • tgp1994 Jun 15, 2009

Ok. If you want to right now, try accessing the monitor's menu (should be a button for that somewhere on the screen itsself) and see if there is an auto adjust button.

I guess you ought to try it on a different computer then.

FPD1975W TFT LCD monitor my monitor blinks a blue power light and flsahis a white screen but it does not turn on ?

Hello,

A flashing power light indicates a failure of the power supply, this will also cause the white screen. Here is a link to a page showing what parts need to be replaced to repair the power supply board and get your monitor back running again.

My moitor fpd1975w blinks blue power button and a white screen but does not turn on ?

The blinking power light is a good indication of a failed power supply board and the white screen backs that diagnosis up. Here is a link to information show what to look for and replace on the power supply board to get the monitor back up and running again. The repair involves replacing parts called capacitors on the power supply board and can be done in less than 20 minutes once you have the parts needed.

I was watching a youtube video. Started fast forwarding through the video when all of a sudden the computer screen went white with light blue streaks but computer was still running. I could still hear...

Try connecting a know good monitor and see if you are able to see the display, if so your monmitor is toast and needs to be replaced. I hope this helped. Good luck and have a great day.

Gateway FPD1750 monitor's keep go black screen, no picture at al

tgordon60, If you know how those NEW "CURLIE-Q" energy efficient CFL light bulbs produce WHITE LIGHT, then you will know what makes an LCD display panel produce all the pretty colors and the WHITE BACKGROUND of the FIXYA web page!!! Only difference is that your "cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps" are thinner and straight, and hung on rear of LCD glass panel and have a DC to AC electronic ballast called an "INVERTER" circuit to produce 600 to 1000vac to light them up. Get to my FIXYA profile and read my responses to other BLACK screen lcd owners to learn about all your options for repair. Follow any of the links to other web pages you find there. Your monitor not any different than ACER, DELL, VIEWSONIC, BENQ, SONY, AOC!!!!! 12fixlouie aka louie12fix

No picture - blinking blue light. My daughter was

There are a few things you can check. First, try to see if the monitor cables are firmly connected on both sides (computer and monitor) no need to remove any cable for now just check the monitor cables (ends should be blue or white on both sides) Then check if you got an imput button on your screen (like all TV and some monitors now has) This input gives you the choice between a few possible connections and it may be on the wrong one. Just cycle trough the input modes and I think you will have your image back. If Still, you dont see anything, try a different monitor or try to connect your monitor on a different PC/laptop. In fact blinking blue could be there because the monitor is awaiting a signal on the input it's listening. At worst it could be because your video chip/card dont send a signal to your monitor, could happen, but imo it's probably not the case.

White screen

Blue and whit screens of death. these are hated as if it is the video card you will need it replaced. if it is the screen then replace it . to find out try it on an external monitor. if it is still white, you're laptop is toast! the internal graphics card is fryed and cannot be removed. either get it fixed or buy a new one.

do not attempt to fix it your self it will only be worse.

Black screen after a couple of seconds

The monitor needs to be replaced. I had an LG LCD that did this luckily it was still under warranty. Contact the maker and have your receipt handy. Otherwise buy a new monitor. Monitors tend to be replacement only
