Question about Sony PlayStation 2 (PS2) Console
I have a slim ps2 about 3-5 years old (sorry i cant remember)it has worked fine until the other day. someone tripped over the sound/video cord so then i plugged it back in. (i noticed the background music wasnt playing then) i made sure everything nice and secured. a few minutes later the game froze. when the system was restarted the game wouldnt work (it was very scratched up) but i tried a few discs that were new and they didnt work either. i have tried cleaning the lens with rubbing alcohol on a q-tip and that was unsuccessful... please help!
I have a Wii and I hade the same disc reading problems...its a straight result of a scratched or dusty lens...I have two solutions, you can do what I did and send it in for the experts to help you out, or a better trick for cleaning the lens is buying a compressed air can and blowing some of that air all over the lens and air intake and release slots.Hope this helps u! :)
