Hi Louise-
Nice camera!
With the camera ON, click the function set wheel on the back of the camera on the right side next to the 'lightning bolt'. If you think of the wheel as a clock, touch the function set wheel at '3:00' with your nail. This will show three choices: flash automatic, flash on, or flash off. Choose 'flash on' and the camera will flash all the time.
Hope this helps!

Testimonial: "Hello...thanks heaps for that, but yeah I had already done that. I'm not getting the three choices show up...I'm sure I used to. With the flash down it won't select at all and with the flash up it only shows the auto option. Ya got any more ideas? Thanks heaps"

I think I just realised something...does it need to be in manual to be able to have this function?

How do I disable alarm 1993 Isuzu trooper? It will not start. Engine just clicks. It wouldn't even start when tried to jump start it.

I don't know how to disable the alarm for your Trooper. With most cars however, if you open the drivers side door with the key, and insert and turn the key to try to turn it on (even though it won't start) that should disable the alarm.

It sounds like your battery may be completely dead and needs to be replaced. ORielly's auto store will check /charge your battery for free. You'll just have to unhook the battery and get a friend to take you.

take it to a auto parts store or dealer so they can put on the obd scan machine on, that will give a code and will give you an answer as to what the flashing light means.

How do I disable the pop-up flash on Nikon D5000? Thanks

As long as jog dial is set to M or manual, the flash will not pop up automatically. Be reminded though because you have to set everything manually. If you want the auto settings without the flash, set the jog dial to the icon that looks like a lightning with stop/ no sign

I have been using canon A 580 camera since almost 3 years, but suddenly I found that my flash light is not working, I have changed the memory card and batteries several times but still no progress. Kindly...

Many Canon cameras use some of the screws in the camera case to serve as a means of detecting if the case is open (and thus disables the flash to prevent shock). Examine all the screws around the perimeter of your case. Are they all there and tight? If not, tighten loose screws and try moving and replacing any missing screws with one of the others that are still there.
If the screws aren't the problem, then the flash unit has likely burned out. This is not an easy fix, or inexpensive repair (even if you do it yourself). Remember though that the camera will still work for pics not requiring flash (you may need to switch out of Auto mode).

Flash Will Not Fire

Try a mode other than auto, and turn off the flash. Then try taking a picture. Did it work? If so, then your flash is either shorted or burned out, or the flash safety circuit thinks that the camera is open. If the flash is burned out, then professional repair is required, as a flash change-out is not trivial (Call 1-800-OK-CANON).

However, it's more likely to be only a break in the safety circuit.
