Try putting in the dishwasher, if you dont have one, try letting it soak in very hot water to sterilize it.

I removed the handle to clean under it and the parts came out and I cannot figure out how to put it back together.

I haven't seen any Kitchen Aid processors where the handle part of the bowl is dismantlable. I think you will find it is broken and you are up for a new bowl. The cover is normally glued on with no intention that it was ever going to be taken apart.

Need the main food processor with the handle

My handle snapped off (cheap cheap construction). Now model is discontinued. If you can still lock the bowl into place, use the tip of a knife to press down the little switch in the opening where the handle used to be. I've been using mine for 6 months this way after KitchenShop stiffed me on a replacement bowl.

Cannot turn the lid on to kitchenaid food processor

It sounds like you need a new working bowl. It is not uncommon for that safety switch mechanism to fail inside the handle.

Need to clean inside of handle on KitchenAid food processor

The plastic for the work bowl / handle is molded and one piece and cannot be disassembled. My best recommendation is to call Kitchenaid customer service to see what recommendations they have. Within one year warranty, they may replace the work bowl at no cost.

Their toll-free number is: 1-800-541-6390.

Machine on but not working

The video is generic, and may actually show a different model with completely different assembly instructions. For the DLC-8S and DFP-11 series, you want work bowl handle facing the front of the processor, feed tube on lid facing back of the processor, and sliding lock switch facing the front of the machine. For the DLC-2011, you want work bowl handle facing front, lid lined up with work bowl handle, and metal element hanging from pusher facing front.

To make sure the motor is working first, remove the work bowl, blade, etc. completely from the base of the food processor. Plug the base in and turn the food processor on. Then use a pen to press in the dark gray or black button on top of the processor - if it makes a sound, your motor is good. If it doesn't, call Cuisinart and get your processor repaired.

Good luck!

None of the buttons work on my Power Prep Pulse 11-CUP

Remove the work bowl from the base of the food processor, and separate the bowl, lid, and pusher sleeve.
Plug the base into the wall outlet, turn the food processor ON, and then use a pen to press in the dark grey or black button on top of the base of the food processor - if you hear some kind of noise, then your motor is still good.
Put the work bowl on first, with the handle facing the front of the food processor.
Put the lid on, with the hollow feed tube facing the back of the processor.
Put the pusher sleeve in the lid, with the sliding lock switch facing the front of the processor.
Your processor should now turn on.

If your food processor still does not turn on, call Cuisinart and see if you are eligible for an in-warranty repair - it has a 3-year warranty.

Good luck!

Power red llight is on, but the motor/blades won't go

Well, now I feel totally foolish. The handle on the bowl must be toward the front of the bowl, not the rear otherwise the operating post won't engage.
