SOURCE: Cuisinart Private Reserve cwc-900 wine cellar stopped cooling

I also had one of these CWC 900 units that quit working. The interior temp was 77deg F and the outside was 70 deg F.
The exterior panel was very warm to the touch where the heat exchanger was.

Like a previous person stated, there are two fans. One on the control unit board and then the main cooling fan for the exchanger. In my case, this main cooling fan had quit working - allowing excess heat to build up.

Solution: Unplug the unit! Remove the side panel of the CWC 900. First remove the 8 "finishing" plastic plugs that hide the screws. This was done with a sharp point on an ice pick to pry them out. Then remove the 8 screws with a torx T10 driver. At this point, plug the unit in and lower the temperature setting. In my case the small fan kicked on and the larger one did not. Un plug the unit. If you try and manually turn the fa you will feel resistance. Remove the cooling fan and black housing w/ 4 phillips screws. seperate the wires from the cable ties and then unplug the fan - you may have to remove a small amount of a plastic type glue to unplug the fan. Remove the fan from the plastic housing w/ 2 phillips screws. This is a fan made in China and I was unable to find a replacement on the web. Remove the center sticker on the back with the fan model number. Remove the center black plastic plug with a sharp point. You will now see the end of the shaft and a small split keeper ring. This ring is made of plastic - be gentle. Pry it open and remove it from the shaft (KEEP IT). Once the keeper is removed, you will be able to pull and seperate the motor from the fan blade and expose the shaft. I was not able to remove the small bearing from the motor so I wipe the shaft clean, applied white lithium grease and the re-assembled the unit. Fan spun freely. Put everything back together and the unit should be fixed!

Hoped this helped.

SOURCE: My Cuisinart CWC-600 is completely dead. No

This unit has no cold control nor compressor. If input to board is 120v and output to display is 120 v problem lies in the door switch or display board. no easy fix very difficult to get to. I'm trying to locate indepth schematic so I can bypass and see what would make it run. A control feeding back to the baord in some way is my guess. Good luck

My power supply keep on blowing fuse. I tried replacing fuse twice and immediately blown when plugin power. What could be the reason?

A dead short is more than likely. Potentially a shorted out compressor or wire pinched or a bad control board. I'd check the compressor terminals to ground, any motors to ground. With and without the wires hooked up to them. If the compressor or fan motors are grounded out it could cause that symptom. If you test them with the wires hooked up it will tell you if the wiring is shorted to ground.

Is there a replacement circuit board for the Cuisinart CWC-1600 unit?

The actual manufacturer of the circuit board out of China does not seek direct, but you may be able to order a replacement board through cuisinart support. More than likely your board is fine, but rather your power supply has failed. Check my post on how to replace the power supply for under $20

CWC 600 was working fine but now it is off completely. Is there a fuse of a power switch that can be replaced. We had some wind and rain that made our power go on and off several times within a short...

These CWC fridges have a switching power supply in them that is very voltage spike sensitive, and they blow easily. There is a metric 2.5 amp fuse on the circuit board that protects the board. The next components are 4 rectifier diodes that short out with voltage spikes killing the board. Changing the fuse usually does not fix it. You will probably need a board. Heat kills them too, so if you change the board, remove the fans and vacuum all the dirt off the heat sink as well.
