SOURCE: SAMSUNG RS253BAWW NOT WORKING

the ice maker wont cycle untill the temp of the ice is around 10 degrees so if the freezer is at 15 or 20 due to some other malfunction then you will see the maker full of ice but it wont harvest and make another batch. so you could have a sensor bad, control malfunction, refrigeration issue, compressor, defrost system malfunction(you mentioned ice build up)

SOURCE: Fridge temp set to 38 is blinking,,reset unit

I had a similar problem, paid a technician $90 to tell me to defrost the entire unit for 15-20 hours, and now it works like new. It is supposed to self defrost, but with poor circulation in the freezer (simply caused by too much stuff in there) the unit frosts up. This caused a rising temp in the freezer leading to inconsistent temps.

Anyone reading this with a similar issue, save your money and defrost it overnight. You should see a pool of water in the bottom of the freezer after defrost if this was the problem.

How to rest temp controls after a power surge on a samsung rt18m6213ww/aa

First things to try:

1. Unplug the fridge and move it away from the wall. 2. Inspect the power cord for damage. Replace the power cord if it is damaged. 3. Plug the fridge back into the wall outlet. 4. Set the temperature control to the desired level. 5. Push the "Reset" button, located near the temperature control panel, to reset the temp control settings. The Reset button is usually red in color. 6. Move the fridge back to its original position.

I have a digital wall timer that allows for settings over multiple days. Trued to reset it (remove a few memorized settings) by pushing 'reset'; but this had no effect. Do I need to press it for a longer...

You posted the question under ST01C timer.
This timer will clear all programs if you hold reset in for a few seconds until the screen starts blinking 12:00. The reset button is a small round button that you push with a paper clip.
The ST01C memory for current day can be cleared by removing battery for a couple minutes, but the day-to-day programming remains forever until timer is reset.

Each timer tends to follow the same pattern as described above when there is a small round reset that is pushed with a paper clip >> push, hold for a few seconds, timer resets.

Other timers have a larger button for Reset ... the timers with larger reset button usually require you to hold the clock button and reset button at the same time ... or some other button besides clock has to be pushed at same time with reset. You can try different combinations of buttons and hold both down for a few seconds.

If you reply to this response with your exact model and brand timer, I can look up the specifics for most timers
