I suggest you go to Sears repair parts website. They have parts for most stuff they sell, plus a lot for other appliances, etc. I hope this helps.

How do you check to see if you need to replace the belt on a Orick Commerical XLPRO14T Vaccum.

you can tip the vacume on it's side and turn it on and if the roller/sweeper is turning then the belt is good -- but if it is not turning then the belt is broke and needs to be replaced.
also at the same time as you replace the belt -- remove and clean the filter so the vacume is restored to normal operation.

I have a Craftman 5hp snowthrower model 53688501 that will not start. It will fire with gas down sparkplug hole, but runs only untill that gas is burned up. Fuel is present at carb, but I noticed that...

This sounds like the carburetor needs disassembled and cleaned. This happens over time and the tiny orifices plug up. Usually from letting gas set in them for extended periods of time and it gums up. If you are not familiar with them, I would take it to your nearest small engine repair shop.

How do I change the bag on a dirt devil model 103?

On the open end of the bag that slips onto the vacume, there is a cloth "tab" sticking up from the band. Take hold of this tab and lift up while easily pulling back until you see the band about half way off the vacume. Now, you can take hold of the band and pull the bag the rest of the way off. You will notice that there is a "rib" in the middle of the band on the side that faces the vacume. That rib fits into the groove where the band goes on the vacume. When you install the bag put the band on this groove and work the band on around the housing. You can center the "tab" anywhere, just place it where you can get to it easy. The other parts you need are on the internet, I found them all including that rubber plug called the "attachment port" plug. The p/n for the replacement part is 3-201744-601. The original p/n is 3-501744-601 but you'll be better looking for the replacement part number. Good luck!

you can wash that sponge filter by hand but you must let it dry compleatly before putting it back in the machine, I found a filter pack for the lift off vacume at walmart, make sure teh bottom filter is clean as well. the lift off vacume has 3 filters there is one filter in the tray under the dirt cup, one in the top cup, and the hepa filter in the back the 2 foam filters must be clean or you can have reduced suction, the lift off vacume I have I found thrown away because they never cleaned it outthe brush was dirty and full of strings the belt was worn, the hose under the vacume was full and stopped up the hose in the back was compleatly stopped up all filters were compleatly clogged, and the hepa filter was missing entirely. Not to insult you or anyone but i've found that a lot of people are jsut to lazy to clean their vacume out it fills up with dirt they throw it away and get a new one, i've gottten many like new vacumes for this reason, this bissell is working like brand new now. and I just replaced the belt and all filters in it saving me approx. 150.00 for a new one

Vacume Overheating

There will be a filter between the cylinder/bag and the engine. If your vacuum has a HEPA filter there will be one on the other side of the engine. Remove both of these and clean them out with water, allow to dry and replace.

Oreck XL 21

My old vacume had the same problem - the wire had a 'plug' on both ends. 1 to the wall outlet and 1 to the vacume, which you could pull out of the vacume. It was making poor contact at the vacume and eventialy burned out (melted)
See if the plug/wire to the unit is removable, if so is it damaged?,
could need a cleaning, or it may not be pushed in all the way.

Good Luck
