On messenger live, press the ALT button on your keyboard to see the toolbar options on messenger, then click on tools then select audio and video setup. Set the audio options first, then click next, now on the webcam part you have a drop down menu of items.

I have a TV card on my pc,how do i change from TV - a91830e.jpg

You will most likely have a option for the TV card, and one for the webcam and possibly others. Select the webcam, you should see a preview picture.

ones its set correct click finish,

it should work properly now.

Let me know if you need furhter assistance.
Thanks,

Why can't i get my webcam to work whilst on msn live, its inbuilt

Hi,1Log in to your account at the MSN Web site. Locate the "Webcam" icon underneath your Display picture. 3 Click the "Webcam" icon. 4Select "Send My Webcam" to the person that you want to send your video to. 5 Wait for your chat partner to accept your Webcam invitation. Once he or she accepts it, your live video feed will begin. 6Finish sending the video feed by clicking the "Webcam" icon once again. To hide or show it, Open MSN Messenger on your computer. 2Click the "Tools" menu and then select "Options" from the drop-down list. Step3Locate the "Personal" link and click it with your mouse. 4 Find the "My Webcam" area and either select or de-select next to where it says "Allow Others to See That I Have a Webcam." This is handy for letting those in your chat list know whether you can have a video chat with them--whether or not they have Webcams too Hope this helps Regards

When i am on msn and want to put on webcam a message appears in a conversation saying Messenger is not available right now. Please try again later. (0x8ac70202)

This might be a compatibility problem between your webcam drivers with the new Windows Live Messenger program. You may want to:

1. Update your webcam drivers and see if Windows Live Messenger can detect it when you run the Audio Video setup from its Tools menu.

2. Or you can downgrade back to the older version of Windows Live Messenger which is compatible for your camera. Doing this however also requires that you uninstall all the Windows Live Beta products from your computer.

Note: You will not see a separate Windows Live Messenger on your Add/Remove programs, instead you will either see there Windows Live Beta products or Windows Live Essentials.

You can download the older versions of Windows Live Messenger from:

Windows Live Messenger 8.1:

Webcam has playback but does not work on MSN

I HAVE THE ANSWER FOR THE NEW WINDOWS LIVE MESSENGER!!

at the top of Windows live messenger, u will see your name, and 'personal message'
if u go below that, you will see something saying: 'search contacts of the web' beside that u will see a gray person with a green PLUS on them.beside that there will be 2 'pictures' .
then...beside that you will see a ICON of a 'drop list' with a 'cursor' over it. CLICK ON THIS

a menu will drop down...

then....hover over 'tools'

then click on: "audio and video setup..."
check your speaker and microphone are working...click NEXT from the drop down list select the right webcam.

THEN click 'finish'

AND YOUR DONE!

then, to 'video call'...open up a chat window with whom u wish to call
click on VIDEO CALL

AND

ur done!!!

enjoy!
