The calculator has 5 variables (letter names), A, B, C, D, E, in which you can store values. To access them you press the key MEMVAR. To select a letter you underline it by moving the cursor. There is no X variable. No need for it because the calculator does not do algebra. All you can do with the letters you have is to store values in them (STO>) or recall the values to use in calculations (2nd RCL).

How do you put y,and x on a calculator

Some calculators have a few memory locations known by a letter name. These would be A, B, C, D, (maybe E), and M.Others have X, and Y variables too.
To type these letters you use the sequence [ALPHA][letter key]
See screen Capture.

I would like to add hold number

In order to store a number in your calculator, press "STO->" and enter a letter by pressing ALPHA and then whatever key has the letter you want on it. For example, pressing STO->, then ALPHA and then the MATH button will store whatever your previous answer was in the letter A. Then, anytime you enter the letter A into a calculation, your calculator will use the value you stored in the calculation.

I need to know how old this dryer is Model 66814690 serial MG 1316480

The date of manufacture (month and year) are calculated by the first two letters of the serial number. The first letter being the month and the second letter is the year. The year letter code rolls over each 12 years so you have to know the age within 12 years. The link below will give you the guide to calculate.

It is a combination of key known as "Function" (Fn, for short). You have to press it and hold while pressing other keys showing the blue letters on it. The most common use is to make a virtual Numerical Keypad on laptops, so you can perform calculations. To be back to normal mode, you need to press FN+F8 (or the key with the Calculator icon).
