Question about Baby Lock Sewing Machines

Open Question

Babylock Endurance embroidery machine is noisy when the hook turns

I have a babylock 6 needle endurance. When the hook turns it is very noisy. However, as speed picks up, it doesn't squeak anymore. I have oiled the machine very well, cleaned the hook, and cleaned the bobbin case. What could be causing the noise?

SOURCE: Not picking up the Bobbin thread

I cleaned the machine good with canned air, oiled it. I took out the bobbin case and cleaned it good also. I then noticed the tension screw on the bobbin case was loose, tightened it and the problem was fixed.

SOURCE: thread gets caught on bobbin and jams

You may need a new bobbin case if your machine is an older model.. Over time the cases get nicks in them causing thread to catch on it. Have you lubricated the bobbin area? Needs one drop of oil for every ,I believe it is 25 hours of usage. That may take care of it. The oil goes under the bobbin right in the center of bobbin case. Remove your bobbin before applying the oil. i hope this helps you. Good Luck

SOURCE: Babylock seger machine keep breaking the left side needle.

Try rethreading the machine, and make sure the thread is not wrapped around anything. Then check the tension for the needles. Run a few inches of chainstich off slowly, while watching the thread and loopers make the loops over the finger. Your threads may be in the wrong position, or underneath the wrong parts to start.

SOURCE: Bobbin problems!

MAKE SURE you are using the correct SIZE bobbin. Some of the older plastic bobbins don't swap around in the newer machines & just because they LOOK the same doesn't mean they are. If you are absolutely POSITIVE you are using the right size bobbin (mark it w/ a permanent marker if you have to, to keep track of it), check & double check you are putting the bobbin in the case in the right direction & make sure there aren't any loose threads anywhere in the area where the bobbin sits... be sure all little dust bunnies are removed. I know it sounds redundant but get your book out & be POSITIVE you are threading thru all the thread paths in the right direction. My Babylock is supremely **** when it comes to putting the shuttle back in after I've cleaned the bobbin area & if I don't get it back exactly where it supposed to go, it won't sew right. I always have to get my book back & check it out again step by step. I have it do crazy stuff just because there was a little tail hanging out where the bobbin started to wind that I didn't cut off close enough.

I just purchased a babylock QTS428K what kind of needles do I need

Unable to find information on your particular Babylock machine. However, the manual should tell you what needles to use.

Similar models from the same era probably use the same needles.

Otherwise, a Babylock dealer would be able to help you.

I have a Babylock BMP9 6 needle embroidery machine. The automatic needle threader mechanism is not dropping down far enough to use to thread the needles. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

On older machines that do not have the automatic needle-up feature, the user needs to manually adjust the needle height so the threader will match the needle eye.

Do The ESE ESante Baby Lock hoops fit the ESI ESante Baby Lock machines

The Babylock Esante ESE1 and ESE2 hoops are not compatible with the Esante ESI1 or ESI2 hoops. The Babylock ESI1/2 used the same hoops as the Brother PC7000 and PC7500. The ESE1/2 use the hoops that are compatible with the Brother PC6500 and PE700 series embroidery machines.

I wish that I had better news for you. This site has hoops for sale for both the ESI1 and the ESE1: http://www.allbrands.com/categories/871 . If you need hoops for either machine, use the compatibility data on each machine type to help you find more vendors that may have the embroidery hoops.
