This is a common problem with a new OS upgrade. Try to use Win 7 drivers. Modtify the drivers to be compatible with Win 8. Most times this will work, not always. You should contact the Toshiba support or service center for your country of residence and request the recovery CD's. They will refer your request to a third party which will contact you by phone and take your order. You will have to pay for them. I paid around 65 dollars for recovery CD's for a laptop.

Don't even think about buying a second hand /used one, you are just asking for problems unless you actually see it come out of a working machine. You may as well buy a new laptop. Are you sure it's a motherboard problem.

Win7 32bit doesn't have this feature, only win7 64.

Get a detail list of each bit of harware and search the hardware manucfacture site of each driver EG your sound card is proberly STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio and go to the google and you will xp driver http://ftp.us.dell.com/audio/R114282.EXE
