Question about Chicco My First Rainbow Activity Phone

1 Answer

Our t-mobile g-phone got a little water logged in the rain.

We toweled it off. It would not turn on. We have set it out to dry in the house and were advised by a computer savvy friend to try to turn it on again about 24 hours later. That would be late this afternoon. By the way, yesterday we could see a very small amount of water pooled at the bottom of the screen. Today we can't see it anymore. Is the phone likely to recover? Maybe someone out there has had a similar experience.

If you want it toreally dry out, put it in a bag with some instant rice. The rice will draw out the moisture well.

Using Bluetooth Technology to Connect Laptop and Cell Phone

Many of you get your mobile phone wet by one way or another. You worry as you mistakenly drop your mobile phone in water. It can also get wet if you are out in a heavy rain. However, there is no need to panic. It is possible to save your wet mobile phone by quickly repairing it. In order to save your mobile phone from water damage, you can consider these easy and simple solutions:
Act rapidly :
The first thing you have to do in order to save your wet mobile phone is to act rapidly. Quickly remove all the detachable parts as well as covers possible such as the back cover, battery, the SIM card, memory card etc. Next, take a piece of cloth or a tissue paper to wipe the excess water you are able to notice within the mobile phone. Make sure that you dry it completely. If you don' t do this, the water inside the mobile phone will begin to evaporate and gather in places which will be difficult to reach.
This will save your wet mobile phone and it will start working if it was under water for just a little while.
Using a hairdryer :
Take a hairdryer and begin drying the mobile phone while giving more consideration to the place where the battery is located. The battery housing usually consists of tiny holes to let in air (so giving more space for water) inside the mobile phone.
Make sure that you are not holding the hairdryer very near to the mobile phone. Keeping it too close to the mobile phone may harm the electrical mechanism of the mobile phone. Keep on drying the mobile phone from a safe distance for about twenty to thirty minutes.
If solution number 1 and solution number 2 don't work, try solution number 3.
Drying for a long time:
Take off the covers as well as battery from the mobile phone. Put the phone in a dry as well as warm place to let the water inside the phone evaporate gradually from the little holes in the mobile phone.

I dropped my ipod touch in the shower and grabbed it right away, it got wet and is acting up now. the touch screen didnt work at first then worked a little and now it wont work at all no matter what i do!...

Hi,
As the mobile is wet the circuit board inside the mobile will be fully wet.Due to this the connections between the circuits get connected(short circuited) and the mobile may behave in such a manner that it should not behave. Never put the wet mobile in charger even though it is dry and working properly. There may be water logs present in the mobile circuit which may be dangerous to the person who is using the mobile. It may lead to electric shock.
Take the mobile to the authorized dealer of your make and they will remove the water log from the mobile circuit board and it will be fine .I recommend you not to do this by yourself.
Thank You

How To Quickly Repair Your Mobile Phone Dropped In Water

Now, there is no need to panic if your mobile phone gets dropped in water or you get stuck up in a bad rain and your clothes as well as your mobile phone gets wet. All you need to do is follow the following three tips that will fix your phone with water damage:-

(A) Act Quickly : straight away get into action and remove every cover and detachable part you possibly can like memory card, the SIM card, battery and back cover, etc. Now use a toilet paper or a thin cloth to blot away any excess water you can see inside of the phone and be sure to get as much as you can. Otherwise, all this water will start evaporating and collecting in hard to reach various places in your phone.
Your phone may work now if it was only submerged for a short period of time.

B) Quick Drying : Grab a hairdryer and start drying your phone paying extra attention to the battery housing as this normally has small holes which allow air (and ironically enough water) into the phone.

warning: Don’t hold the hair dryer too close to the phone. Keep it at a distance whereby if you put your hand in front of the hair dryer it would not burn you. Bringing it closer could damage your phone’s electrical components. If i am sounding serious, try putting a hair dryer up against a sheet of paper for a few seconds. It turns it brown – would you want that happening to the inside of your phone?

If 20-30 minutes of this doesn’t work – go to plan C.

C) Long Term Drying : By putting it in a warm dry place you allow the water to slowly evaporate and escape through the holes in the phone (remove the covers and battery when doing this).

Cellphone was dropped accidentaly in a tub full of water

Yikes, try the old standby- remove the battery, sim card, memory card, and get out a hair dryer. Set it on low and carefully blow warm air into every nook and cranny of the phone for about 5 mins. Then blowit on everything else as well- attery, sim. memory card. Placed everything on a towel for 48 hours or so, pray a lot, and 2 days later put everything back together. Change up the battery to the max, before you turn it on for the first time, and pray one more time. If you're lucky everything should have dried out nicely, and the phone will work. Do not under any circumstances try to turn on the phone unless it is thoroughly dried out, because water and electricity just don't mix.

Do you want to know if it's your cp is still working?

First, make it sure it's totally dry without any water or moist before turning on the device.

Second, if it's OK and you know it's out of water inside and the cp was total dry, turn it ON.

Third, if you're not sure and you don't want to take the risk by turning it ON, it is a better option for you to bring it into any cp service center near you.

Cheers
