I don't think there is actually a way to test it before hand because in order to test the card, you would have to install it. I do think your motherboard would support the card, however if I was you I would go to the Asus website and see what video cards they recommend for your motherboard before buying one.

Your PC keeps restarting because while playing your video card is highly solicited, and this causes overheating. The solution to your issue is to buy a cooling fan and attach it to the cooling grid.
If this solution worked for you please rate it. If you require further assistance feel free to post a followup comment.

Nahh...you can use that gpu with that mobo, but i wouldent recomend it. The GPU - Requires NVIDIA HybridPower™- enabled motherboard, and that mobo dosent have that. It might work but you cant use the full power of that gpu on that mobo. And beside that, that gpu is bigger then the mobo itself
I sugest you to buy another mobo, the gpu you looking at is a good one but your mobo isent that good.
Here is the spec for the GPU:
And here are the spec for that mobo:

Well, you have to check first the mother board's model, and to check in the manufacturer's site to see which video cards fit this model. If it the right card, be sure to install the most updated drivers
