How do I turn off safe mode on an Advent Roma 3001

You can boot in safe mode and open "MSCONFIG" via the RUN option on the start menu. If it not on the start menu look all programs> accessories> run. in the RUN Box Type msconfig and enter. That will open System Configuration, you will see options under General, you want the TOP one NORMAL startup, next click on BOOT tab and look for the Safe boot option,MAKE SURE IT IS NOT CHECKED. llet me know what happens or you need further assistance. max

My screen says no bootable device-- insert boot disk and press any key

This sometimes shows up if the floppy drive is set as the first boot device in Bios, and the disk in the floppy drive is not bootable.

Have you attempted to boot to Safe Mode? To enter the Safe Mode menu, continually tap the F8 key just after powering on the computer.

If you're abe to boot to Safe Mode, try choosing the option "Last known good configuration" as the boot option.

If this doesn't work, try Safe Mode (with or without Networking)

We need to know if you can even boot before continuing. If you can't boot then you may need to do a Windows repair. Do you have the OS Disc?

How to get into safe mode

Power on the machine and keep tapping the F8 key on the keyboard, after a few seconds, you'll see the "Advanced Boot Options" screen, black screen with white texts, the first from the list should be "Safe Mode...." if not, use the up and down arrow on the keyboard and highlight the Safe Mode and press Enter. You'll be taken to the Safe Mode and also you see another warning message stating if you are sure to boot into safe mode or not, click yes and proceed forward. There you are in the safe mode.

If you need further help, let me know.

Good luck.

Thanks for using FixYa.

My asus Eee 1005 wont boot up unless i go to safe mode with networking, how do i fix this so I can boot up normally without using safe mode?

If it is booting up in safe mode and not booting up normally then it could be a driver fault or some sort of spyware virus.
Try using system restore in safe mode to restore the laptop to a time when it was working fine.
goto start bar, click on run and type msconfig, in here you can choose anystart up programs or services you dont need or use and stop them from starting, make sure you are positive you are stoping programs that you know are on your mechine.
Dont restart yet goto my computer c:drive, goto the windows folder and find a folder called prefetch open this folder and delete all of it contents, once done close out of all windows and restart the pc in normal mode hopfully the problem will be solved.
hope this helps and please post back what happens.

After notebook boot up, screen is black and blank, what to do?

I am assuming it is your user profile which has got courrpted.

I will recommend you to boot with Safe mode. To boot in safe mode, power off your laptop, turn it on and as soon as you OS loading logo, hit F8. You will be given some options to boot with. Select "Safe Mode".

2. Once logged in as administrator in safe mode, create another user. Boot your laptop normal and then try to login as newly created user.

3. If everything seems normal with new user then we know it is user profile of the old user account.

If not, then let me know the if you were even able to boot in safe mode.

How do i get out of safe mode?

Well, why are you in safe mode???? Did you have a problem with the system, and you booted to safe mode for diagnostics? When you shut the system down, or have you shut it down, does it boot back to safe mode only? I need a bit more information here in order to fully assist you. Let me know.

Safe mode

You can also force the system into safe mode. You click on startup and type in msconfig. Click the general tab and select diags and the system will reboot to safe mode. Change it back to normal to get your system out of safe mode.

Hp dv1000 media card

Hello,

Remove the media card while booting.

If there is no media in the card reader, press F8 after the laptop beeps during boot and this should give you a Safe Mode boot screen, choose Safe Mode and then your default OS listed. After you get your desktop, restart the laptop.

If when you press F8 you get a boot from what screen, choose your hard drive and then immediately press F8 again to get the Safe Mode boot screen.

You need to either remove the flash media or use Safe Mode and then restart to reset the Boot Ini information script.

Let me know if this works for you or not, as we may need to take another measure.

Worldvet

PC UNABLE TO BOOT UP WITH SAFE MODE

Hi when you switch your computer on you need to enter the setup mode you might have to press one of the f keys or the escape key to enter the dos setup mode then you need to change the boot up order if you have xp cd then you could boot up the cd drive first then hd or you can change it so it boots up off the hard drv first depending on what the problem is but if you have disk then you can boot up off this and then see what error occures when it boots up to the windows screen.
Also if you have a setup disk you can boot up off the disk then thsi should sort the problem allowing comp to boot up.
you could boot up in safe mode then do system restore if it lets you and restore it to a date that you know your computer was working fine.
Let me know if you need further assistance ok
