If it is a cheap Android 'no name', buy another.
If it is a listed make like Samsung Galaxy take it to any good mall kiosk.
If it is an iPad, take it to the Apple Shop.

I can'tload Web pages but wifi is on. Am using windows 8. What can I do to solve the priblem

There is a difference between Wi-Fi being on and Wi-Fi being connected. In Settings you can turn on Wi-Fi. All this does is turn on the Wi-Fi radio receiver.

With the receiver turned on you should then be able to view a list of Wi-Fi routers. You will probably see a little lock towards the bottom of the virtual radio signal symbol. These locked Wi-Fi stations cannot be connected to unless you have the right password to log onto them. Most people these days have secured their Wi-Fi routers so unauthorized folks cannot use them.

If you are using your own home router or wireless hotspot from a telecom, you will still have to select it from the list of Wi-Fi routers shown and click connect. If you haven't already entered a password, you will have to enter one.

This can all be done from them Charms menu that slides out on the right. Click Settings and Wi-Fi available.

My kindle wi-fi keeps kicking out. I have G3 and never had to put in a specific wi-fi source. Now it continually asks me to connect, and won't even accept a proper on our home wi-fi router.

Your kindle has a sim card installed for 3G (lifetime licence paid by amazon and paid for on purchase price on the unit) but that is not related to the wi-fi function on your kindle. Your wi-fi service needs to be logged in to with the same password as you use to log any computer on to your router when at home or whatever wi-fi password is required when elsewhere (e.g a bus, train or restaurant).

Yes definitely ,I think i need lots more information about router version, IEEE standard.
basically adapter that uses mobile phone networks to provide broadband as a WiFi Dongle while USB WiFi adapter can be used to connect your PC to and existing wirless network provided by a wireless router.
but first you should find out what kind of Internet router you are using and always purchase a Wi-Fi adapter that is compatible with the Wi-Fi standard of your wireless router.

Depending on the size of your home, a standard wireless G router should work the best.

This is the one that I recommend you try first. Remember too, that with all electronic purchases, make sure you get informed about the return policy that way if a product does not work for you, you can always return it at try a different one.

About wi-fi

Windows XP has a built in wifi configuration tool, previous versions of windows dont have this feature. But if you were to buy a wireless card it comes with software for wireless to work on all versions of windows from 98 - XP most if not all new laptops have wifi built in & that will be able to share your broadband connection through the netgear router. You can configure the laptop & pc to share files & printer between each other, easy way of doing that is by using the wireless network setup wizard which can be found in Start -> All Prograns -> Accessories -> Communications -> Wireless Network Setup Wizard.
