Step1 Put on your latex gloves to protect the drum from skin oils. Cover a firm, stable working surface with a few sheets of clean newspaper to prevent spreading toner dust over your work area.
Step2
Disconnect your Canon copier from its power source and allow it to cool down for several hours if it has been used recently. Locate the access door to your toner cartridge and drum, typically located on the front or side panel depending on your specific model.
Step3 Remove the toner cartridge from its holding tray by lifting from both sides and pulling it up gently. Gently shake the cartridge to remove caked on dust, then place it on top of the newspaper sheets. Using your vacuum's hose attachment, clean away any toner dust from the cartridge's holding tray.
Step4
Lift the hinged door behind the holding tray to expose the copier's drum. Turn the spindle to the side of the door to rotate the drum. Apply a microfiber cloth to the outside of the drum as it rotates to clean away toner dust. Continue until the drum is as clean as possible.
Step5
Close the hinged door and replace the cartridge in its holding tray, ensuring that it is oriented the same way as when you removed it.
Step6
Reconnect your copier to the power source and make a test copy to ensure proper function.

I have a Cannon D320. Copies have roller marks on them. Can I clean rollers. Roller mark is in center of page top to bottom.

each and every machine needs to have a technician responsible for servicing and maintenance.
If you know where the marks are coming from then you can clean, because they mighty be coming from the drum and from the drum you just have to replace and not clean.
if from the fixing assembly need to consider:
1. if pressure roller or upper roller/fume does it have dirty or it is damaged when damaged need to be replaced if dirty, clean while it is hot with silicon oil(heat resistant).

Hp 4700n laserjet printer. I get black dashes on the right hand side of the page exactly every 1 1/2" every time i print. I've replaced the infuser and the image transfer kit but still get the marks. What...

I would first suspect the black toner cartridge. This is especially true since you have replaced the Fuser and Transfer Units. Most likely you have a pit or other mark on the drum surface so it is printing the mark on the page at regular intervals as the drum rotates. If you have a spare I would swap it out and I'd be willing to bet it goes away.
Good Luck and Thank You for using Fixya.

Is there a reason for the bearings in a front loading machine to keep needing to be replaced

It could be that the new bearings are being fitted onto a worn drum shaft, this would soon cause the bearings to fail again.
If it has not been replaced, then it should be done so.

Rusty holes on drum

Hi
If you find a good plasticizing epoxy it should work great for this most plastic epoxies can withstand temperatures up to 500 degrees F. I dont see the hot water supply feeding the machine getting any warmer than this. Another option would be to find someone with a plastic fusion and filler welder and just weld the hole shut with a base material.

OR
Follow this easy steps...
Unplug the dryer from the electrical socket to avoid accidental electrocution.
Sand or scrub the rust spots using steel wool or sandpaper. Rust creates pits and these pits need to be smooth, like the rest of the drum areas, to prevent the rust from getting worse and to allow touch-up paint to stick.
Clean the entire inside of the drum to remove all the dust left from sanding/scrubbing. Mild soap and water will work well. Use old rags that can be thrown away.
Let the drum dry completely. You can run your dryer on the fluff dry cycle for a few minutes to dry the drum faster. If you use a heat cycle, the drum will become too hot and you will have to wait while it cools
Apply an appliance paint (see Resources) in the color that most closely matches your drum. Use the applicator that comes with the paint to dab the paint on the rust spots. You may need to add more than one coat, but make sure that you are letting the first coat dry before adding more to avoid drip marks. Allow all coats of paint to dry thoroughly before using the dryer.

Alloy wheels pitted and rusing

Hi have a nice day!
I think following article found to be interesting.
Most wheels on the market today feature a painted surface, machine lip or face with a clear finish. To take care of your alloy wheels without damaging the protective finish frequent washing with a quality car wash, such as McGuire's or Polyglaze, and water is highly recommended.
Periodic use of a bug and stain remover can prevent permanent damage, whilst waxing will protect the alloy wheel finish from the elements. NEVER use abrasive cleaners, steel wool, or polishing compounds. ALWAY's be wary of automatic car washes. SOME use acidic cleaners to remove dirt and grime. Others may use stiff brushes for cleaning alloy wheels and tyres. BOTH of these WILL HARM your Wheels So always ask about equipment and procedures before entering the car wash.
Never allow your alloy wheels or tyres to be STEAM cleaned. Hot steam can dull the paint or clear coat finish on your alloy wheels. NEVER clean HOT Wheels always wait until they cool down. Water on your alloy wheels will dry faster on a hot surface and cause your cleaning solution to dry to quickly leaving spots or a film of soap on your wheels.
Cleaning wheels in direct sunlight also causes the wheel to dry out to quickly, leaving spot's in the finish. This is a particular problem with chrome wheels, and machined faced alloy wheels. Clean your wheels on a regular basis, they are often the dirtiest part of your vehicle and they're constantly exposed to the elements, corrosive brake dust, ocean and sea salt plus the inevitable road tar.
Disc brake dust is a BIG problem. If not REMOVED it can actually burn small marks into the chrome or alloy wheels, which in turn if left untreated can lead to PITTING of your alloy or chrome wheels. Chrome plated wheels are particularly susceptible if left untreated SO please make sure care is taken. Clear coating on your machine lip of face alloy wheels can suffer a similar fate if left untreated.
If you do not clean Chrome Wheels or Alloy Wheels regularly moisture, which harboured in brake dust and grime, can lead to SEVERE pitting and rusting of chrome wheel surfaces.
TAKE "PROPER" care otherwise your warranty on your Alloy wheels or Chrome Wheels could be voided.

Front loader washing machine = black streaks on clothing

I am a recently retired engineer of 20 years once you have ruled out anything getting inside the machine by accident etc, like something in pockets or greasy overalls, then its likely to be the drum bearings, has the machine started to get noisy on the spin the drum bearings are covered by a rubber seal, this seal gets damaged or worn and water leaks into the bearings themselves washing out the grease back into the drum where the washing is, you could also notice slight water marks on the floor underneath the machine on the floor, take the back off and look for water marks coming from the drum outer casing behind the pulley, these marks will be brown and will originate from a small drain hole, if any of the above change the bearings before any real damage is done, either to the clothes or the machine, as repair can be expensive? sorry, hope i have helped you as to where to look at least,
