Just do the process after switch off the phone
There is four simple step to format . just follow it. remember if ur phone memory have important data so u should be aware that i will erase ur data.but there is no other methods so..

Press and hold the recovery buttons. The buttons vary from device to device, so you may need to look up the instructions for your particular phone. You will need to press and hold the buttons for a few seconds. Some of the more common button combinations include:
Wait for the restore process to compete. After your phone resets, it will be set back to factory defaults and will be like it just came out of the box.

There's a setting in your phone called HTMF tones. That needs to be on.
HTMF tones is what converts button presses into information an automated system would understand ... If it gives you an options of either long or short ... short is usually standard.

Remove the sim-card and switch on the phone .. and press this code *2767*2878# .. the phone will restore the factory settings.

Dial *228 and press 1 to program your phone. This will reset after your programming is finished. This resets the lock code back to the last 4 digits of your phone number. If it doesnt want to program at the moment give it some time and it will do it so call again. Good Luck.

On all the Blackberries i have seen - the password if you get it wrong ten times it just deletes all the personal data on it and resets it to the operator defaults.
so if you havent had a chance to use it much because its locked out, just keep typing the reset password wrong, type blackberry when it tells you too, and keep trying until it says Wiping Handheld.
