Xerox 6330 loud clicking sound

This printer is making an occasional load clicking or clacking sound from the right side of the machine. It sounds like gears slipping over each other. The machine does not make a sound from the manual paper feeder. I've switched the trays and no change. Is there an easy fix for this problem? Thanks!

I've also reset the fuser, transfer roller and imaging unit. I've also tried different fuser. This problem started around the time a paper jam occurred. I cleared the paper that I could see. It hasn't jammed since, but the sound starts and stops. It can go 20 pages with no sound and then starts again. Please let me know if you have any experiences like this one. Thanks in advance for the help!

Check the rails the paper tray sits upon. see if the one on the right side is damaged or dislodged. You didn't say if the noise happened when you printed from the 2nd paper tray.

There is mostlikey a scrap of paper that you can not see still in the machine. You can gently walk a thicker piece of paper through the paper path and see if it pushes out the obstruction. Be very careful not to scratch the drum when you try this.
Hope this helps

SOURCE: Xerox 6110 problem:

I have the Samsumg version of this printer CLX-3160. Sounds like the paper takeup roller is not able to grab the paper. What does the LCD display say when this happens? I don't know what software came with your printer, but Samsung provides a PC Smart Panel software that gives a better diagnostic capability. If you have not installed it, install it and see what it says the trouble is? Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Xerox 6360dn, Tray 2 makes loud grinding noise

In my experience, it was the registration roller causing the grinding noise. See http://my.brainshark.com/Phaser-6300-6350-6360-Grinding-Noise-795590408 for troubleshooting video.

Kenmore he2plus vibrate very badly, it is level how do i fix this

My HE2T was making a horrendous sound during the spin cycle. It was making a loud clacking sound and the machine was moving all over the place.

There are two things to check. The first is that the feet are on the floor and the machine is level. The second is a bit more complex. Remove the three screws that hold the lower panel. Underneath the drum on each of the four corners are suspension rods. One side is attached to the drum and the other side is bolted to the bottom of the washer. My bolts loosened up which allowed the suspension rods to clack back up and down as the drum spun. You'll need to tighten those bolts very tight and then give it another try.

Attached on the inside of that cover is the troubleshooting guide. There is a manual diagnostic mode and you can step it to the spin cycle so that you can test the spin balance without having to run through a full cycle. Make sure you have some clothes in there during the test.

Sharp AL1642 CS Copier Grinding noise and Paper Jams

Loud clacking sound, jamming in fuser ? sounds like the gear that turns the fuser are bad and not meshing together,
accordion jam is the fingers or claws that ride on the fuser roller are probably worn out ( these can be replaced usually 3-5 ).

You can buy the parts and replace them yourself if a handy person, not that difficult.

Makes click a clack noise and toner cartridge wont come out!

Toss it.

These are 'disposable' printers. You can get a new one for less money than it would cost to fix.
