Question about U-Line Kitchen Appliances - Others
I am removing the head unit from my uline wcm 45 ice maker in order to create more space in the box. I am going to use it for cooling only to store bagged ice. Do i need to tie any of the wires together that were going to the head unit in order for the cooling unit to function properly and cycle the cooling function on and off as needed. I damaged the capillary thermostat when trying to remove the head unit, are these still available for purchase? Do i need to remove the back of the box to access the thermostat?
The thermostat does come through the back of the unit and pushes into a tube attached to the ice mold , I do belive they are still available

not familuar with the brand but sounds like one of 2 issues
if it is overfilling making ice cubes larger than normal, adjust the ice maker fill time if it is possible
icemaker fills and cuts off but water valve seeps water after the fill causing the water overfill
one of the 2

I just RR'd mine. Undo the three screws on the bottom of the metal piece that the ice maker sits on, then the two screws that are horizontle above the . Take of the back, withdraw the termocouple from the tube that goes through the foam, clip the wires (5) leaving enough of a pigtail to crimp a **** splice to the new ones. Withdraw the fill tube. Don't lose the clay that seals the holes through the insulation. Withdraw the ice maker by gently twisting and pulling straight out. Replace in reverse order. Getting the screws back in is a little tricky.

SOURCE: Uline ice maker
The trough gets refilled on each ice cycle, if it's circulating, then the water supply is adequate.Y
The exact model would be helpful, but you could call 1-800-779-2547 U-Line's tech line
or email OnlineService@U-Line.com for help
